When Threads get locked, the reply button dissapears. So you are not able to take quotes from Locked Threads. I was wondering if there was a way to take quotes from locked threads.
Cant take screen shots ryt now so just try to understand
The basic quote tag include
PHP:
[QUOTE=name of user;some number] All the stuff you wanna quote[/QUOTE]
If you want the quote to direct to the thread too. Then again, that some number you typed needs to be specific.
You see those #1 , #2 ? Its the post number written on the border of the post dialogue. it contains the link to the specific post. The link can be like "http://narutobase.net/forums/showthread.php?t=622513&p=18200023&viewfull=1#post18200023"
That "p=18200023" is a number specified to the respective post. Now, while using the quote tag, use this number in place of that some number.

And im going to sleep now :|

As said it's possible, it takes a bit of time but in reality not that much if really want the quote.

1) Copy paste the post

2) Place it between quoting tags

3) In the first tag, after quote, add the symbol '=', then the member's name, the ";" symbol and lastly the number of the post. The Brown Guy already gave the visual coding for it.

4) The number of the post can be found in the URL link of that post, which in return can be found by clicking on the specific number of that post in the thread that's located on the black bar above the post on the right.

It's not really that much effort as the URL link of a post, the member who posted it and the post itself are all located in the same place. You only need to combine them. It's not so much different than coding your regular posts.
