Ehhh... I know for a fact some people had more faith in Kishi's writing ability to lead the readers astray because Obito being Tobi was too obvious.

Yeah I thought it was pretty obvious. What really gave it away were the episodes when they first told who obito was and when they first showed the child kakashi. This was practically in the beginning of the sunken compared to where it is now. I used to think to myself, why would they randomly, for no reason, show these episodes? It made no sense because at the same it had no relevance. I used to think it was a bunch of fillers but it all made sense when I saw tobi and I automatically knew he was obito

Not gonna lie, I was completely ignorant on who he really was. Before when I was just an anime watcher I heard rumours that he was Obito and I laughed that idea off. Then when he was found out in the anime I felt like a complete moron lol.

So was I, pretty much. I thought he was Madara's Zetsu clone of sorts (due to the white goo-bleeding and all). However, when he debuted as Tobi, just about everyone I saw believed he was Obito so yeah. Could have at least had long hair or something.

Well, for me, it was too obvious. After I saw Kakashi Gaiden episodes, then right away they showed Tobi as real leader of Akatsuki and showed that moment of Kakashi's and Tobi's sharingan, it was known who he is. I still giggle at those imbeciles, who created theories and "proofs" that it was not Obito back then.
