Firstly, what was wrong from my point of view:

*Ten Ten shouldn't have been allowed to sell such dangerous tools, IMO it should've been sealed away/destroyed if possible. EDIT: my bad here, thanks Young Vongola, still, I stick with the fact that those tools shouldn't be in a store.

*Bee and Gai should have died (still, the plot saved both as for Bee being connected with his tentacle(hihi) during IT, and Gai was saved by Naruto). Their death would have given the idea that there was actually a war, and people died, not all the unknown fodders.

Secondly, why didn't they mention them:

*Itachi - this guy was a truly hero, THE HERO may I say, I don't even have to say what he did for the village and ninja world. We deserved at least to know if his mission was aknowledged by the villagers.

*Jiraya - he was Naruto's mentor, opened so many doors for him, he gave him a nobile mission, his teachings saved, luckily, most of Konoha.

IMO, both deserved at least a statue there or at least something renamed in their honour like "Itach Uchiha Academy" ; "The Great Jiraya Battle Arena".

I agree with tenTen and Gai but as for Itachi was to become a hero then everyone will ask why he is a hero and people would come to know that Uchiha were planning something bad for the village and that would be a disrespect to the Uchiha clan. Itachi told everypone to shutup about it! He has a difficult situation!

Don't put it like that! I think Itachi is a master piece of Kishimoto. I honestlynhaven't come across a character like his! Although he can't become hero in the eyes of the world because that would kill the purpose of what he did! It was all to protect the honor of the Uchiha clan which already in the drain!

Jiraya was naruto's mentor so its related to Naruto not konoha...

if we consoder your debate.... then even nagato should've been credited because he was the one to give Naruto more reason to clean himself from hatred and to work hard to achieve peace more than he ever wanted...

there is no need because we all know that there are those who work in the shadow and the only shout-out they want is for their ideals to be passed on and for their dreams to be achieved such as Shisui uchiha...

Well Itachi said he didn't want recognition, everyone already knows about Jiraiya, and it wasn't just unknown fodder who died, Neji died as well, and Im pretty sure the 5 nations uniting is proff wnough there was a war.

I agree with jiraiya but most people see itachi as a psycho traitor who killed his clan which pisses me off I wish everyone was told of what they did I know it would have tainted the uchiha name but it was pretty much tainted since they started killing off family members to obtain MS.

Yeah they killed off their family members but the general public didn't know that! It was Uchiha secret! Uchiha didn't like to associate with people much that is why they were misunderstood a lot!

The whole chapter looked like somebody paid too much for it to be made too fast........ and too fanservice. All these things are just examples of how weird this chapter is according to the brilliant 699 before it. I agree with you totally and the whole thinbg stinks.
