Why is Mitsuki hiding his true power? It seems when Mitsuki heard no one can see each other fight, he was happy no one can see him use his real powers?

Why would he care if his friends knows his true power?

I guess there a lot of mystery we don't know about Mitsuki and Orochimaru and his team.

Probably because his Sage Mode is a dead giveaway that he belongs to Orochimaru. I know if I saw him bust out with snake Sage Mode I’d immediately be alarmed that Orochimaru is up to something.
