I know a lot of you won't care about this. However it has come to my attention that a lot of people who participate in science vs religion threads believe that in the bible Jesus never claimed to be the messiah or that He was the son of God.
-
So to help you guys who do battle in this field pay attention to these verses from the bible.

What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”(Mark 14:60-61)

"While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"" Matthew 17.5) God addressing Jesus as His son.

This isn't to start arguments, or debates, or anything, nor is this trolling, bashing. or hating,

it is just information saying that in the bible Jesus said he was the messiah, and that God called Jesus as His son

it was also mentioned many times in the bible in which Jesus called God father as well.

"Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again." John 12:28

so there you go, it is canon that Jesus admitted to be the son of God and the messiah.

I know a lot of people were taught this wasn't the case, but I Assure you this is true. Go read the bible if you doubt me.

Despite your belief being entirely different, that doesn't give you the right to disrespect the others' when we're not 100% sure about everything being discussed.

Though I don't share the exact same beliefs of the OP and his "group", I've had enough of these arrogant idiots claiming to be smart by simply being atheists, and I'm tiread of the "religion bashing" in here.

I respect the religion..... On the other hand, disrespect it. The internet is not showing any out of character behavior than what I would show outside of the internet.

Jesus ain't shit. I know the real story. He was scared of getting that ass whoop in front of the priest for lying with his lying ass. He had his brother shout out and imitate God. Jesus was drunk that night. Even pick himself up some hoes.

That kind of thinking is biased Wolfus I thought you knew better. Most religious people are too brainwashed to be able to think for themselves. Then when they hate you for being an atheist they have no means of backing it up. Some religious people are too into religion for the good of mankind, and a good majority of religious people are extremely ignorant and intolerant. Religious people are so firm in their beliefs that they most often don't accept other peoples ways of thinking. Whether or not I personally respect someone depends on how they act and behave towards me and others, not what they believe happens when you die. I will give respect to anyone depending whether or not they have earned it from me, their religious beliefs have nothing to do with it.

Why wont God do anything about our problems? Simple. Its our problem as humans and we should be responsible for it. If he were to solve our problems then all of us will rely on his power and abuse it. It will also destroy the balance between life and death as people will wish immortaly through his power. My belief in God was streghnten even more after I got my job in a hospital.
