I know a lot of you won't care about this. However it has come to my attention that a lot of people who participate in science vs religion threads believe that in the bible Jesus never claimed to be the messiah or that He was the son of God.
-
So to help you guys who do battle in this field pay attention to these verses from the bible.
-
"Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”(Mark 14:60-61)
-
"While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"" Matthew 17.5) God addressing Jesus as His son.
-
This isn't to start arguments, or debates, or anything, nor is this trolling, bashing. or hating,
-
it is just information saying that in the bible Jesus said he was the messiah, and that God called Jesus as His son
-
it was also mentioned many times in the bible in which Jesus called God father as well.
-
"Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again." John 12:28
-
so there you go, it is canon that Jesus admitted to be the son of God and the messiah.
-
I know a lot of people were taught this wasn't the case, but I Assure you this is true. Go read the bible if you doubt me.
