Interesting. I don't think izanami forces you to change your mind, rather it makes you accept reality and your true self. Kabuto wasn't his true self, he wanted to be someone else ( orochimaru) and it also works on izanagi users because they refuse to accept reality and try to change an outcome. If someone wanted to kill someone and had accepted what had happened to him/her then izanagi won't affect that person because the person neither denied reality nor did they refuse to accept who they were.

So to answer your question if the person breaks izanmi and goes back to the same way of thinking they had before, nothing would happen. It's not like izanami will restart or something

I think by accepting who you are when you come out of it you wouldn't want to change. That's my guess atleast

Well. Izanami is a jutsu thats not clear.
It assumes that the person in the Genjutsu isnt acting the way they would "truly" act if they were there "true" self.
So if its used on naruto would it work? If used on Sasuke would it work? If used on madara or hashirama would it work?
That jutsu was just an ass-pull that is broken in many ways. It can work on kabuto becuase he was mimicking Orochimaru. But what if he wasnt "mimicking" orochimaru, would it have worked the same way? Its an ass-pull that kishi used to get Sasuke and Itachi out of a situation that they wouldnt have won.

DSM Kabuto>Sasuke

I know what your saying and that didnt answer it.
The reason why that situation wont exist is because the jutsu is suppose to make you realize the flaws in your choices to lead you to the correct path, if you mentality doesnt change then you cant get out of the genjutsu becuase its in your mind, UNLESS your able to trick your mind into thinking that it has really changed when it really is the same...if that makes sense.

This guy is spot on. What an oddly specific jutsu. I think in the whole nv we've only met one maybe 2 characters that this would be practical for. Kabuto and maybe just maybe Tobi if you look at it vaguely enough
