Well, some fans think that the fact Itachi never lost a fight speaks for his power, intelligence or any other skill. U_U

But this argument is really flawed. Itachi didn't lose a single fight?
So didn't Guy.
So didn't Ino.
So didn't the Ramen Guy. :|

The fewer fights the character has, the fewer they lose. And even if two characters had the same number of fights, it doesn't mean that they fought against opponents of the same strength.

All in all, saying "X lost 3 fights while Y lost NONE" is not an argument at all.

I used Itachi as an example because he's the one this applies to the most (probably because Itachi's fanbase is the largest). The same could be said about others, though, eg. Minato.

Mission complete. :p

It's not surprising he's never lost a fight, he's always fought opponents weaker than him. When he has to go up against a stronger opponent(Nagato and Kabuto) he required help from characters superior to him(Sasuke > Itachi, Naruto+Bee > Itachi).

Edit: I remembered this whilst typing.

He also ran away from Jiriya so would that count as a loss. He was also defeated by Sasuke.

Before we talk about Kabuto. Lets start with knowledge itself why it's so useful. Knowledge is useful information and can be use for any purpose. It has good explanation to problems people have. However, knowledge is not always perfect. Even if this was the case, added knowledge will have a better effect in the future. In order to seek out knowledge. Questions need to be asked and ideas thought. This will allow you to fix upcoming errors in the future.

Now this is what knowledge did the Kabuto. If a person believes that he has a justified, true belief then he has no reason to listen to criticism of his belief, or anyone else for that matter. Any idea which contradicts a true belief must be false. Therefore, all criticism is irrelevant, and anyone who disagrees is mistaken. The only thing to do is educate them, not debate with them, and not consider that they might be right and we might be able to mutually learn from each other. Confidence that one definitely knows the final truth leaves one with no reason to try to correct errors, it's actually foolish (Reminds me of NarutoBase)

Kabuto in a sense wanted to gather all the things in the world. Just like in the footsteps of Orochimaru, he wanted to become the perfect being and seek the hidden knowledge of jutsu of the world. And he was almost close the achieve perfection. But like I said. It was arrogance that blinded him of seeing what was wrong with himself. He did not trust himself and thought that by gathering the things in the world he can become someone that he's not and live by that. That's why Itachi was sure of his defeat.

Itachi has a keen insight to understand people. He can read emotions, thoughts, and movement easily. He has plan ahead on more then one occasion. Itachi does not need much time to figure out a certain weakness in someone. And he has the skill to overpower someone with his intel. He too had knowledge and used it for his benefit to protect Sasuke and his home. Itachi was a master of deception and intellect.

Now if it was me to choose who is the smartest I say Kabuto. However, Kabuto stand no chance with Itachi's intelligent persona. Kabuto in order to succeed in life, he has to believe in himself. Something he has not done in years. And maybe Izanami might teach him a few lessons. And it might change him for good or worse. So what do you think?

I wouldn't count Guy's case because they obviously never fought with an intent to kill. Kakashi wouldn't be really able to counter 8-gated Guy. :p
As for Sakura, draw doesn't count as a loss :D
And Ramen Guy theory makes sense.

i completely agree with u ... the number of loses and wins shouldnt determin how powerful a character is compared to another.... as like u said not all ninja are the same and it all depends on match up aswell as other factors

Good point but he still wipes the floor with most characters in the series.

Although never losing a fight doesn't mean he's unstoppable; it does, however, show just how powerful he is. Also, it's the way he won the battles, how fast he won them and who he was fighting.

Who's questioning why he ran away? The fact is he did and I consider a forfeit a loss.

The thing is not much shinobi are stronger then him, he has final warrior susano'o which could possibly be perfect susano'o, Totsuka Blade and Shield, Amaterasu mastery, Tsukuyomi mastery, and Izanami for just overkill

Not sure what the comments on here are about but OBVIOUSLY he hasn't lost a fight. You have to be in it to win/lose it.
Agree that just because a ninja hasn't lost doesn't mean they cannot lose though. The whole vs section is made up of troll posts anyway. With trolls coming up with the most ridiculous statements and they have the nerve to ask you to counter it. Im thinking lmao you want me to counter your nonsense?. Id rather skip U_U

EDIT: Technically if losing to his disease counts then yes he has lost that fight
