Everyone remembers how the edo's were not resurrected at full power right? Even tobirama stated this that orochimaru revived them CLOSE to their original power the same could be said for madara which is why madara didn't solo hashi in Edo but he solo'd when he was living again.

Try harder hashirama acknowledged itachi's morality and said he was better than him, moral wise not power wise. Any leader will acknowledge you if you stood up and protected what they strived to achieve and maintain.
