I was wondering was Hagoromo born with normal eyes or was he born with a dojutsu unlocked? I know Uchiha are born with normal eyes till they unlock the sharingan, I wonder if Hagoromo was the same.

I wonder did Hagoromo gain Sharingan and then Rinnengan or does Hagoromo only have Rinnengan and no Sharingan features.

Madara has both Sharingan and Rinnengan powers combined since Madara sharingan evolved to Rinnengan.

Well hamura did have six paths senjutsu so like hogoromo he was born with the power of the shinju fruit in him.

I think kishi just created him to keep his duality theme going and perhaps explain hyuga's connection to the senju and uchiha

I guess if Hagoromo parallels Indra and Ashura and Naruto and Sasuke (which I'm sure he does, because Kishi has a boner for it) then Hagoromo would have been the dumb one, which would mean he would have awakened the Rinnegan after he came into his own.

But Kishi didn't really care after Obito's mask came off.

He probably had rinnegan as his kekkei genkai(as said in naruto pedia) and just like uchiha,when he grown up,he activated it.
And his third rinnegan was probably awakened after becoming jubi's jin(as madara said,if u become jubijin and then look at the moon,sharinnegan will be activated)
