I'll tell you in 2 weeks. And regarding when the filler will end, who knows at this point. It was my understanding it was only supposed to be a month at first, because as the anime stated in the last canon episode, Kabuto needed time to gather enough energy (bs from top to bottom) to summon HIM (for those who dont read the manga) which was the only reason for the sound 4 mini-arc. Then it spiraled into some other random filler episodes I haven't watched because they just keep coming. And now it looks like we're back in flashback filler. Looking like a repeat of the Pain arc filler, and well just about all the other filler arcs.
Expect another few months of this. I suspect we won't get back to the actual plot until summer (June ish), and even then the canon episodes will only last a month or two, seeing how they like to troll anime watchers even harder than Kishi and his manga readers when it comes to crucial plot points...

No, no, no my poor misguided friend. These filler episodes are NOT to build tension. Quite the opposite in fact. These episodes RAPE TENSION WITH A BLADED DILDO.
You see, you get tension by lets say, having one character who somewhat resembles a mummy return from the dead, get sealed, return AGAIN cause he's just a boss like that, and then say he shall summon HIM now (the anime/manga does say "him"). THATS tension. You want to know who he meant. And guess what? In the manga this happens ONE chapter later, but you get teased at it until the last page. TENSION (seriously, read the manga, cause Im guessing you don't, in which case you're missing out, especially on THIS. Hell man, even Naruto Storm 3 is AT LEAST 2 months ahead of CANON anime, so you factor that in with the current episodes and a video game is about 4 months ahead of the actual anime, thats just sad).
Now, Im not going to spoil HIM to you, and I really hope no one else does. All im saying is MANGA. CHAPTER 558. START READING. YOUR WELCOME. The truth of the matter is, these filler episodes are used as nothing more than to waste time and get episode counts up. Filler is supposed to ONLY be used to allow the manga to exceed when both get near each other, however the anime is so far behind at this point the ENGLISH DUB may catch up. (English version is now in the middle of the Pain invasion filler arc). Its a sad day indeed when filler requires an "arc" after. Its a sad day when filler epsiodes spill into the next intro. Its a sad day when this once great anime gets reduced to nothing more than bad animation and disappointments.
