[Discussion] About Bleach

So, i finally got myself into watching Bleach, loving it so far... i'm still in episode 20 in the Soul Society arc said by many to be the best arc in the series.

My question here is if i'll be confused with the story if i skip the fillers. Some people say to skip others say otherwise.

Also, i'm loving every character so far but my favorite one is definitely Uryū Ishida. He did get beaten up pretty bad by Renji and i felt kinda disappointed in him, how strong will he become in the future ? You can spoil me about him, i don't mind :snick:

Renji becomes decently strong in the latest arc.

Edit: Uryu is an unknown factor currently. But it's presumed that he's reasonably strong.

You can skip the fillers, my favorite arc is "the past arc", the first arc was ok but it's nowhere near the best arc.

Ishida became less important as the story progressed until he became super important (and his strength varies per time but he was never overly weak or strong), his current strength is unknown tho.

To sum up at least 80% of the manga, Kisuke Urahara does something clever and solves the problem.

Advice, read the manga:

-The bleach Anime has stopped being animated because the animation was so bad they decided to cut it, so once you reach certain point to the story, and look for the next chapter, oops, no more anime

-You skip all that nasty filler

About your question, Uuryu is currently fighting a very important fight. He's hyped to be stronger than a lot of "the enemies" since he has some weird potential. He's one of my favs too.
