It feeds the burning, oxygen a required source so the amaterasu should apear infront of his eyes but it dosent. In my opinion its because the path of light from the users eyes to the target has to be blocked to activate the technique and since light travels through transparent objects, they dont ignite.

Oxygen, along with basically anything else, can be burned at ridiculously high temperatures. Just saying.

Also, Amaterasu is supposed to consume anything. We saw it 'burning' up fire. It not burning air is basically author oversight.
