Abortion vs prostitution

One thing I don't get is that abortion is legal because its a woman's body and therefore her choice. Going by that, shouldn't prostitution be legal too? Should it not be a woman's right to sell her body for *** if she chooses?

What do you guys think? I want this to be an actual discussion not a name calling arguments that will get the thread closed

a false analogy by comparing two things that aren't similar.

That's true but that can also happen with or without money being involved. The girl or guy could just have a lot of *** and spread around the disease for free

It's only illegal in certain areas. The only reason it is illegal in the states is because of the idea that it leads to a poorer society.

You could apply the same argument that you make to drugs. It's your own body right? Places that banned prostitution, drugs etc... deemed them a poor influence on society and decided to try and remove them.

Whats next? Fat people are unsightly, so if you are over 300 lbs you won't be allowed outside?

I think it should be legal, it would probably lower the amount of kids being kidnapped and sold into *** slave, honesty. It would lower rape percentage most likely, i hope...most guys do it for the control. but maybe some men do it because thats the only way they can get it...

There are always condoms ya know. You don't simply spread STD's that way so easily.

Actually, it's not, that is the argument that a lot of people use for why abortion is ok. Albeit, everyone has their different views

I see your point with poor society. The drug thing is wrong tho. The drugs can put you in a different state of mind that could harm other people.

Condoms are ineffective against some of the more dangerous STD's, so that's not exactly true

Anyway, I think both should be legal. But there are easy ways to get away with prostitution. Recording it would make it porn. But, in some places you would have to wear a condom. Which you should be doing anyway
