CHAPTER 01: THE DREAM
* It starts with a man running down a broadway with orange coloured lamps glowing on both the side of the road. The guy keeps running although he is panting does not seem to think about stopping anytime sooner. Sweat starts forming on his forehead he starts feeling out of breath a stitch develops on his side. Just as he thinks about stopping all the lamps besides the road go off. He is submerged into total darkness a cold breeze cuts him across his face the wind making fire in his lungs due to his running. The darkness is so dense that having stopped he is unable to see the Road in its actuality causing him to feel dizzy and as if he may loose his balance. Just as he is about to fall down he senses a more denser darkness approach from the front and suddenly a face gleaming out of the darkness. It was a face to remember it had a beauty of its own yet his heart felt terrified looking into the face and then a blood curdling voice erupted
"Get ready it will be time soon!!"
and with that thunderous voice the image of the face began to fade and simultaneously the ground beneath him seem to split revealing a great chasm of fire into which the guy now fell with a cry!!!
Faraway in a bed of feathers and soft pillows rose a startled figure covered in sweat unable to focus around he dropped his head in his hands and then covered his eyes with his palms trying to remember what he just saw he had a clear knowledge of what all he saw but interestingly he could not focus on or remember anything about that face it seemed impossible to view it again.
Just as he was getting up the door of his room burst open and he fell back on the bed yelling his heart pumping hard.
The guy in the room who got up from the bed -JAKE
The guy who just ran up banging open the door - BEN
Jake: Waaaaoohhh!!!! What the heck dude don't you know how to knock??!!
Ben: Alright Alright (he said it in a hurry) tell me what was it?
Jake now got up from the bed moving towards the window and then looking outside of the window while Ben spoke.
Jake: What ?? What are u talking about?
Ben: (Moving towards Jake) U know what i am talking about stop playing the innocent part !!
Jake: I still don't get what u are talking about !!(continues staring out of the window)
Ben: I know u had the dream again tonight no good hiding it from me!!
Jake: Ok fine saw it !! .. again!
Ben: Holy shit!!!! you should register for the Guinness record book really u have been having the same dream for the last 3 weeks!!
Jake: Ya right whatever!!! U mind crashing on the couch i'll be back in a moment from the bathroom!!
Ben: Ok fine i'll just turn on the TV set and watch something not that i expect to find anything but will just go through stuff!!
Jake: By the way whats up with getting up so early i thought we had an appointment some time later in the day!! don't tell me u have been camping outside the door all night!!??
Ben: Na i was just so worried about u i didn't get no sleep (this was a lie he was awake out off excitement to learn about jakes new dream) so i thought i would as well get ready!! and woot?? O.O how could u even think that way jake i am your best pal!! (this was another lie he had done exactly what jake said!)
Jake: Ok fine i will be back in a minute (moves towards the bathroom)
Ben bunks on the couch takes a nearby remote controls and starts flipping through the TV channels his favorite channel the news channel with the most number of lies!!
Jake now moved into the bathroom and the first thing he does is get a handful of cool water from the tap and then splashes it on his face then looking up into the mirror above the washbasin watches his own reflection it was a few weeks earlier since he started having these dreams if not every then at least he was having this dream every odd night. The first person he told this to was his best friend Ben now he came to think of it he felt it was a big mistake ben was a total goofball though jake liked being around this guy as it was always fun but the remedies he suggested to get rid of the dreams were really hideous he put up with them only because of there long friendship right outta the high school. Looking into his eyes in the mirror jake reflected the dream tonight never before this had he seen the face in the dream. As he looked into the pupils of his eyes concentrating on the image there stirred something in his pupils and then the mirror seemed to dissolve around him and the next thing he knew he was upside down with his head against the wall and his legs sprawled on the floor and then the door banged open with ben coming stomping into the bathroom...
jake started yelling as the door banged open his heart was already pumping fast as it is... ben rushed in and started yelling too.
Jake: AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhh!!
Ben: AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhh!!!
Jake: What the **** dude this is a bathroom u ****in idiot !!! U always have to bang in !!!! (calming down a little seeing ben)
Ben: U are the idiot here M*********** why do u have to crash in the bathroom!! (bringing himself together and then yelling again)
(The yelling continued for a while both being frightened out of there wits Jake because of the sudden fall and ben beacause of jakes yelling!! )
After a while both got ready in perfect silence and then ben broke the silence
Ben: Come on man!!!! we both know that u were wrong and i said i forgive u!!
no need to look so grumpy i am your best pal after all!! and i don't take nothing to the heart i forgive you for our friendship but this is the last time i will not tolerate mistakes again U_U!!
Jake: (Starts laughing
) cannot even stay mad at u come on now we gotta go!!and then both of them escape the apartment room shutting the door closed..
On the sofa a shadow prevails...sitting quietly with his legs crossed...
Arathos: Laugh while u can Jake!!!
