He is self-centered, but does that that mean bad? Of course not, he is pure, as blank as a canvas.

He is an anti-hero, he keeps thing neutral.

the problem is naruto never really forced anyone to do anything,neji,gaara,nagato,obito and everyone he faced,the choices they made were their own,might be affected by naruto's philosophy but still their own,on the other hand lets see sasuke he's trying to decide for the world what to do,he thinks he's above all and that makes him think he has the right to decide for them(remember when kakashi wanted to help him,he refused and told him to shut up), delusions of grandeur is what plagued him,power corrupted him so easily.

He was trying to force sasuke to agree to let the bijuu roam free, which we all know is ignorant.
They will always be seen as power tools by someone, naruto can't accept that, so threw out sasukes opinion.
