Temari from start to finish has been a pretty consistently good written female character.

Her introduction as a sister to a psychopath killer, let alone a female ninja from another village. the first in depth look at a wind user, solo Tenten(the other new female genin character of the arc) the worst way,
off the bat interesting dynamic with Shikamaru, fought Sasuke, saves Shikamaru and forms bond, badass summoning, solos an elite ninja using curse mark lvl 2 user.

Many good moments in part 1

part 2;

I could make another a list but one is enough.

Got a hit on Madara(filler iirc but still)
and ultimately had the most developed and mature relationship

& ah, moved from the dusty sand village to the elegant and most popular village, Konoha.

part 3;

has gotten a pretty good amount of screen time actually in Boruto anime

That wasn't out of character. Temari has always been forceful like that except towards Gaara.

Yeah, she got the good treatment, while all the others didn't even get passed mediocre.Ten Ten could've been somebody.Ino didn't get too far with anything, because he was unsure on how to represent her ninjutsu...could've just been consistent with the mind body transfer, or find something else to do with it.

Te Mari was never really powerful to begin with, she literally just have a fan that blows and cuts and never really improved. If Sakura started off healing and punching and appears every 100 chapter she would appear to be will developed too

But otherwise, she would've been just like Sakura.
That was the only thing that set them apart in part 1.
Temari didn't really have any growth and wasn't really any different from Sakura in character.
Hell when she first seen Sasuke, her first reaction was that he was cute, and had she been on team 7 she would've done the same thing Sakura did.
All female character are basically like Sakura, except Hinata. Hot headed and willful. You all just fail to realize it.

I wasn’t saying Sakura or anyone else sucked just so you know. More so replying to the general consensus that Kishi sucked at female characters. & I’m talking about moments more so than development, if that makes sense. Like 1010 is more relevant as a k11 character but got less than Temari.

I like Sakura and Hinata more than all the other kunoichis matter of fact
