A True One-Hit Wonder

So, I wanted to have a look at some of these one-shot techniques that are flying all over the place and decide which ones should actually keep their titles as 'one-shot' techniques.

Do please Add any If I've missed a few cause I'm only focusing on the top few.

Criteria:

1: It must have actually killed someone in one-shot.
2: Someone does not mean fodder...Zetsu,Ninja fodder..etc
3: If it lands, it must Kill.

Choices I can think of.

1: TBB-I say no,cause it hasn't actually killed anyone that we've seen.
2: Rasenshuriken-I say yes, because it managed to kill/beat many of the Paths of Pain.
3: Amaterasu-I say no. Cause it hasn't killed anyone I can think of.
4: Sword Of Sealing-Yes, it one-shotted Nagato.
5: Susanoo Arrow-No, Failed to actually kill Danzo.
6: Chibaku Tensei-No, cause it was used twice and failed twice.
7: Tsukyomi- No, because it hasn't killed anyone.
8: Lariat-Sadly no,Sasuke survived.....he shouldn't have,but hey.
9: Dust Element-Yes,if it lands...ur f*ckd.
10: Deidara C4-No, cause it didn't kill it's target.
11: Kirin-For me a No,cause it failed to kill when used...

Yes of course they all can, but so can a well timed and used Rasengan...but I wouldn't call it a one-hit wonder.

Lol he made this thread because he said to me that since amaterasu hasn't killed anyone it's not a one shot kill.

Just because a jutsu hasn't killed anyone doesn't mean it can't kill.

Yes but just because it can kill, doesn't make it a one-hitter...it just means it has the capacity. Amaterasu has hit people and they've all survived.

Yes but just because it can kill, doesn't make it a one-hitter...it just means it has the capacity. Amaterasu has hit people and they've all survived.

Well that's nice to know. Anyway just because a jutsu hasn't killed anyone doesn't mean it's not a one shot kill. All the jutsu on your list can kill you if you're hit by it.

Here's an example of amaterasu killing in one hit, although Danzo survived due to izanagi.

Every time amaterasu has been used it's been used on an opponent that the plot requires alive.

yeah, too many conflicting things here in my opinion.

Better question would be, what jutsus have killed their non-fodder opponent in one hit?

Like it's been said before... pretty much everything has OHKO potential if delivered correctly.... just remember the zetsu quote "A pebble thrown by a master is far more dangerous than a stone thrown by a novice" - something of the sort

A true one-hit wonder would be the likes of TBB, Kirin,large scale Shinra Tensei, Deidara's last resort bomb thingy etc. Just because they havent killed anyone in the manga is probably due to plot-no jutsu.

While I 100% agree with what you say. The fact that Amaterasu was blocked by Gaara over and over and even the flames burnt A but didn't kill him, means it is not a 1 hitter.

Example.
Dust Release: Hits you, you die.
Rasenshuriken: Hits you, you die. Unless you have some amazing shield.
Amaterasu: hits you and if nothing is done about it, like you remove the limb affected, then you die. I will say though, that if done right, it can kill but it's not immediate, it burns, slowly.

Even though Dust Release has never hit anyone, we know what it can do. We know that if it hits anyone, it will end their life as they know it. The guy who made the thread was speaking in hypothetical terms, not based on what has happened in the manga.
