In the election arc the voting day was August 8,

Hence a year has passed between these two events, this could have numerous implications.
So what do you think would have happened in this year which has passed?

Did Gon regain his nen back?, Did Killua become stronger?, there are many questions, please discuss.

Also Gon and Killua are 15, Leorio is 22 and Kurapika is 20 as per wiki.

Killua and Gon are really small

Also, I think Illumi will kill Alluka and Killua will do something Sasuke-like

Should have been longer 5 years at least, the perfect time to put a long time skip is after the election arc, Gon travelling with gin and Killua goes somewhere with Alluka, to bad Togashi decided to start dark continent arc after that.

There was no time skip we've been seeing the events of that year fold out now, After the election Killua freed Alluka, and preparations have been being made for the voyage, hunters were selected etc. All these last chapters have been that year gap.

I doubt Gon has developed at all. Togashi seems to intentionally delay his progress for one reason or another. Like for instance after the Heavens Arena he realised in his fight with Hisoka that he was weak and he said he wanted to get stronger. But then right after that he goes back to Whale Island with Killua and they spend the a number of months jus playing around and not training at all, proven by the fact that they had learned nothing new after Heavens Arena and were still in fact at the same level, nevermind the fact that we actually saw them NOT training (and people wonder why Kurapika was so much stronger than they were). I'll admit that they got stronger after Yorkshin, but even then they only decided to create a hatsu after Tsezguerra rejected their application for Greed Island, if he didn't they'd have been content with what they had even after getting trolled by Genei Ryodan. Anyway from what I've seen, it seems to not matter what Gon says (I need to get stronger/I'll get stronger) because he'll simply laze off unless there's an impending threat. Seeing that he's at home with Mito, I doubt he has done anything in this one year time skip. I truly hope I'm wrong though.
