"Race, religion, sexuality or origin; none of this matters when compared to our common status as human beings. We all have beating hearts, we're all someone's parent, sibling or child and we all know happiness, sadness and anguish.
When we see and hear of people who face suffering and adversity, this common truth rings especially close to home. The people and things that cause suffering and pain don't have faces, all they care about is doing what they want. This last week has shown that they can cast a shadow over the light, but this shouldn't be so.
Sympathise and connect with people; do it so well that a light so bright is created, that no faceless being can even hope to cast a shadow ever again."
