This theory is simply that the hokages may break out of edo tensei, like madara and then useing minatos ftg, could arrive at the war. Then to help balance the power levels, sasuke and taka might join madara. Hashi would fight madara, minato would fight obito, hiruzen and tobirama would fight sasuke and taka and naruto and the alliance would fight the juubi.

Simply though, the hokages would join the battle field, after breaking free from edo tensei.

Only thing is as far as we know, the first and second hokage don't know how to break out of the Edo tensei, as proof stated my madara when he released it and when they first were reanimated by orochimaru during the chunin exams to fight the third

Maybe since the 2nd developed the Edo jutsu itself he will Do something similar to Madara and release it? then from there they will do as you explained. On the Battlefield, He will then tell the Alliance how to Rid of Madara. Just a thought

do remember this though, their personalities were erased, near the begining of the fight so they were unable to do the release if they knew it. Now they may have been able to converse in the rds, and they may all know the release. If they dont know of the release, they may learn of it when they learn that madara is still "alive". They would have time to use the release, when sasuke is questioning them. But just remember this is a theory. At this point the story is to vague for me to place my bets on something(like i placed my bet on the ones being the hokages.) After a chapter or 2 i may have something i think is gonna happen.
