A theme park modeled after Totoro is being made

Japanese animation giant Studio Ghibli has unveiled plans for a theme park to open in 2020.

The 200-hectare site will be built in Nagoya city, in Aichi prefecture, said Governor Hideaki Omura on Thursday at a press conference.​

As a giant Ghibli fan this is a literal dream come true when I saw the park map yesterday.

Being able to explore environments like Iron Town? The Spirit's Bathouse? Howls Moving Castle? It doesn't even need rides, because Disney have nothing on these iconic locations.
