Okay, cool with me.
I stand with my arms beside me, as I await instructions from the lady before me. She was quite well known for a Muggle, and despite my eternal hate for them, she specialized in what I would like to call, the most intriguing skill one could dabble in. Genjutsu. My eyes were fixated on her, focused on her chin as I stood. I couldn't help but utter;

My eyes were fixated on her, focused on her chin as I stood. I couldn't help but utter;
Maybe you should lose that arrogant expression, if you're to face me now, you're reeking of it, with nothing to back that up.
She said dismissively with with her hand. Her eye lids sunk underneath the void of her missing eyes, even if her red hair was nearly as lustrous as it once was. She had lost none of her royal demeanor, as befits one of the strongest Sages in the world, dead or alive.
Around you, the voices of the Genjutsu sages burst all around you, the air around use becoming darker. You knew many of the voices, for you could not have been oblivious the grand Sages, the Scorps, the Emperor, the Reborn, but many more you did not know, and paled before the weight of what you ignored, piercing at the heart of your arrogance, for all the voices carried but one sentiment, subservience to the Red Queen, the voices of knowledge themselves and there was but one key to it...
...And you might just have offended her.
A clear, Isabella voice whispered, as if completing a train of thought that was ominously infused into you.
( Genjutsu: Ba-doko-ru Ninnin ) Illusion Technique: Myriad of Mockingbirds
Rank: B
Type: Supplmentary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20 (-5 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This is a very discrete genjutsu, both in it's casting and it's effect. To cast, the user simply needs to do an hand gesture, in the direction of the target. It doesn't change anything about surroundings with the exception of people, and the immediate terrain they're placed. In essence, it allows the user to change how someone perceives someone else, and even create illusionary copies of people the user knows. The illusion is complimented with slight changes to the terrain, like bending foliage, opening doors, etc, but only if manipulated by the illusionary people. It can also remove people from the target's perspective, or remove certain characteristics of someone within sensory range of the target. While inside the genjutsu, the target is free to move and speak, which the user is able to respond through any of the illusionary creations, or him/herself, case the user chooses not to disappear.
It masks slight ambient alteration by "hidden" people, such as footsteps and speech, but not techniques. Likewise, the illusionary people can't perform techniques, only speak and interact through body motions.
*Lasts 4 turns max*
*While using it, the user cannot use any additional Genjutsu on the target and is limited to 2 additional techniques per turn*
The genjutsu goes as far as to create an illusionary version of Isabella, standing before you, and uttering the initial words. The real one, hidden your senses, walks to the right side, encircling you slowly.
Here we were, not only was I facing a master of deceit, but also one of Genjutsu. Playing my cards right would allow me the necessary means to actually outsmart her. She carried an aura around her, a dark one. Her comment reached deep within me, and within mere moments, I could hear voices around me. Familiar, yet still of unknown origin. The atmosphere darkened, and I could already notice something was off. Her eyes might have been closed, yet she was still skilled. She did not require a hand seal to initiate this. However, Genjutsu had a myriad of gestures which could initiate it. Including bodily movement, gestures. Her choice of words also left much to be interpreted. Not only did she start of speaking of me, but spoke of herself in third person. Something was afoot, she had definitely initiated a Genjutsu of sorts. Nonetheless, I had a plan in mind. Initiating a Genjutsu upon myself, I am able to fool the nerve receptors in my brain, to amplify self imposed pain which I initiate through a bite in my cheek. Albeit felt as a more intense pain, capable of breaking the initial illusion. However, I did not flinch, and without even moving my body, an illusionary copy would assume my place. My copy stood strong and simply uttered the words;
"You're quite arrogant yourself. Standing there like that."
Leaving her under the impression that I remained in my place and still within her illusion, as I simply move myself to my left towards her. Should she interact with the illusionary me, I would burst into a multitude of foxes, of different colors and genus and the real me would be revealed, much closer to her being than before. A classic tactic of turning her own skill against her.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/a
Description: This technique is a counter illusion applied by a Shinobi who understands and makes use of the necessity of pain to be released from an illusion. After using a logical deduction to figure out they are in an illusion, the caster of this technique will place an illusion on themselves. Affecting their own chakra flow, the caster would fool his brains nerve receptors through the illusion to amplify the sense of self-imposed pain. This illusion would serve the purpose of aiding the Shinobi to escape an illusion by making their brain believe they are under more pain then they really are. Falsifying what they really experience, the pain imposed for example by a kunai simply nicking the the users skin would now feel more like the kunai was just stabbed into them. While the user is under this illusion, it could backfire if an opponent lands a technique, as the user would feel a false pain far beyond what the opponents technique actually delivered. The illusion would immediately end after its use in conjunction with a source of pain to escape an illusion, the illusion itself dispersing from the faux pain it enabled.
-Usable 4 times
- User could not use S rank Genjutsu the subsequent turn to this one
Type: Defensive
Rank: D-B Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10-20
Damage: N/A
Description:
A simple technique, this genjutsu works solely as a defensive measure. The user will produce an illusionary copy of himself while he escapes the path/area of the attack with a rapid movement, unnoticed and masked by the technique. The enemy will see and hear the user in the original place until the attack connects with the illusionary copy, at which point it will disperse, revealing the true location of the user. The technique can be controlled so as to have the illusionary copy interact and talk in specific ways with the enemy for other purposes, while the user remains hidden from the targets perception. The illusion is often personalized from user to user, namely in its dispersion, sometimes in relation to the users elemental affinity or summoning companions, following a theme unique to him. The limitation is that the user cannot escape large techniques with this ability nor incredibly fast ones, since the escape is his movement and, as such, is limited to small scaled attacks or normal paced ones. Only techniques which can be escaped by moving out of their way running or through movement can be defended from with this. The main limit however, is that, since its a sustainable illusion, triggering any offensive action towards the target will immediately release the illusion, be it a simple taijutsu move or a ninjutsu attack; any aggressive action the user wants to take will immediately break his focus and control over the technique, releasing the target from it. The stronger the user is with the usage of Genjutsu, the more effective and strong the illusion will be and more times can it be used.
Note: This version can only be used by ninjas without a Sharingan.
Note: Genjutsu users can use the technique thrice per match, D-Rank; Secondary Genjutsu Specialists can use the technique four times per match, C-Rank; Primary Genjutsu Specialists can use the technique five times per match; B-Rank.
Note: Movement speed is bound by the users rank.
