so according to the latest manga, it seems that madara and naruto had similar way of thinking and personalities as well. Madara knew the pain of losing loved ones but still he believed in hope which is why he always came to that riverside. The similie lies in his desperate attempts to make the stone reach the other side of the river. He believed that by showing the enemies what you really think of them, that they can be allies instead of fighting and causing endless death, quite similar to naruto who always believed in changing a villain's heart before trying to kill him....and madara never gave up which is proved when he was successful after repeated attempts to make the stone reach the other side. the story is getting more and more interesting now......

the flashbacks in 622 and 621 were shown with sheer perfection, today's flashback actually is one of the defining moments of the current scenario.....and there are more to come...madara wanted peace, but currently he has a warped concept of peace and how he came to believe in this concept is what we need to know...why he at all became so evil?

Yeah I noticed that too. Another sign of the inevitable ending for Madara. TNJ.

This would certainly explained Madara's intense desire to put an entire world in infinite Tsukuyomi (Eye of the Moon plan).

I agree with nothing you posted.

Madara was a child of war. He is nothing like Naruto.

There are some pretty striking personality similarities. From what we know from the stories told by Itachi and Obito, it is hard to believe that Madara's change came over sth little. Furthermore, when Hashirama began his story Madara had already changed into that arrogant self of his, proclaiming he stood at the top and he was the aggressor. He was the one breaking peace and attacking Konoha. Which means that what we already knew (that Madara did not agree with the peace between the Uchiha and the Senju and eventually his own clan vote him out) is most likely the truth.

Hashirama already mentioned how important Izuna was to Madara. Maybe his death was what drove him over the edge, especially if he had already lost four more siblings. Though, I am guessing it was not only Izuna's death in itself, but how it happened. There could be more behind that story.

Fortunately, this time we don't get a love story and even if we do... it's not the reason behind all. [I still find Obito's reason the lamest of all]

For a long time people thought Hashirama = Naruto and Madara = Sasuke, but it was really Madara = Naruto and Hashirama = Sasuke.
