Black☆Star is a young boy of Kirigakure and is 15 years of age. He has bright blue spiky hair, with the spikes sticking in out in the manner of a star-shape. He is rather short, not that much taller than Maka, but has a well-muscled build due to constant training. His main outfit is a sleeveless black shirt with a funnel-like collar, with white trousers that are black from the knee down and just a little short of being full length jeans. On the front of his collar, two short strips of grey material adorned with rivets stretch down fro, the top of the collar to the breast of his shirt. Black☆Star has similar strips wrapped around his neck in the form of a scarf, and around his waist in the form of a belt. Rivets can also be seen on his pockets and on the ends of his trousers. On his hand, he wears gray fingerless gloves with heavy wrist weights and has a band going across the back of each hand, adorned with a star. Black☆Star's footwear are basic black boots with white tips, with a star shape visible on the toe of each boot. On his right shoulder is his star-shaped tattoo, which is just a shade lighter than his normal skin tone.
As of joining Kumogakure, Black☆Star wears blue pants with the hemline rolled a few inches above his ankles, with black shoes and a white belt that is similar to an obi. His feet are wrapped in bandages up to his ankles and his hands and arms are also wrapped in bandages up to the elbow. Black☆Star wears a sleeveless top, in this case, it is a custom, white, muscle shirt. Another new addition is a long white scarf, wrapped around his neck with the majority hanged loosely. He also has a fairly noticeable scar running across his tattoo on his right deltoids, numerous smaller scars scattered across his arms, and a faint scar-line running down his right eye. When he was younger Black☆Star's hair was in a star-shape, but now the spikes in his hair are a lot messier and not as star-shaped.
個人性| Personality:
Despite his rather large ego, there are more positive sides to his personality. Although it is hard to tell through his arrogance, he does genuinely care for his friends. He always arrives to his friends' aid if they are in danger, seeing himself as a protector of the people whom he classes as weaker than himself. It is shown in team battles, that he views the safety of his friends as a priority. However, he will also take his friends' wishes into account, and will step back and allow them to fight alone if they want to. He also has a determination that knows no bounds. He constantly trains to become stronger, and is dedicated on his goals, putting all of his effort in everything he does (this has its downsides, especially when Black☆Star develops tunnel-vision on pursuing something that is wrong, being too stubborn to see the wrongness of his aims). He prefers to go his own way, which sometimes involves going against orders. Despite his determination, he always fails at tests of intellect regardless of the effort he spends in studying. He never forgives the people who hurts his friends, setting off immediately to get revenge in order to defend or restore respect to his friends. This combined with his recklessness and single-minded focus tends to results in him charging into dangerous situations.
He also has a very positive and upbeat temperament (although he has his short-tempered and cheeky side) often laughing and smiling even in the glummest of situations. His cheerful demeanor can sometimes act as a support to others when they are down. At times, Black Star seems to be aware of this and outwardly hide any negative emotions. He is also very honorable, not wanting to take any credit that he does not deserve. He detests the idea of betrayal or deception, up until the point he is angered. He also keeps on plowing forward through adversity, whilst others may decide to run away, showing his bravery, although his bravery may sometimes border on recklessness.
Kirabi and A are prominent figures in Black☆Star's life, and they help him mature profoundly. When Black☆Star is frustrated and indecisive in his pursuit of power, they both help him decide his choice in life. During and after his induction into Kumo, Black☆Star changes dramatically. He retains most of his positive traits, remaining honorable and sincere both in and out of battle and still cares for his friends, but most of his negative traits, like his arrogance and his temper, are no longer present. He no longer declares that he is going to surpass God, and he actually starts to admit his faults, saying that some people can do things that even he cannot do. He also develops more respect for his superiors, treating people more like equals. He is more cool-headed and focused in battle. He no longer pursues power in order to stand out and surpass God, but to protect his friends and help maintain order in the world. He decides not to take the 'Path of the Demon' but the 'Path of the Warrior' and he seeks to become a 'Warrior God' (武神 Bushin). He also develops a great sense of responsibility, as he decides to redeem the names of the ones fallen by the Uncanny Sword and to grant Masamune's wish to master the way of the warrior, even if it means causing suffering to some people.
However, he is still slightly immature. He can still be a little too informal and to people, and sometimes exhibits his usual headstrong and proud ways, but it does not go over a manageable level. His childish sense of humor still sometimes embarrasses people, especially Kirabi.

背景情報| Background Info
History:
Black☆Star comes from a long line of assassins who did anything for money. They victimized people in many areas, killing many innocent people, which made them infamous in various places. Due to their actions, the entire family was exterminated by the Nara Clan thirteen years prior to the series. Black☆Star, who was still an infant at the time, was taken in by Konoha, where he was raised by a family who saw him as an innocent child. He showed skill and talent in his abilities from a very young age, but was still ostracized by many, blaming him for everything that the assassins had done in the past. Black Star bears no malice over the loss of his family, because he understands that his parents led a wretched life and eventually paid the price for it.
Due to his ego, many people ignored him, and he constantly failed to complete any missions he was sent on. On the day of the Academy entrance ceremony, he stood on top of the building and declared his greatness to the new students below.
Black☆Star knew his time as a shinobi of Konoha was growing to an end. He left the village, leaving his "family" to search for what was lost of his own. Word had it that a village far in the mountains held some type of connection to himself, and so he traveled to the Land of Lightning to seek out his destiny. There he met the 5th Raikage of Kumogakure. Old Man Kirabi took a liking to Black Star and under his wing, molded Black☆Star into a impeccable ninja.

Taijutsu | Hand to Hand Combat
One of the various forte's of Black☆Star is hand to hand combat. He's one of the few master's in the world who have achieved the ability of Sixth Sense during his time under B. Many ninja have commented he is gifted in the Martial Way. Alone, he's extremely proficient. Under B's tutelage, Black Star was also able to access use of Satsui no Hado and shows great aptitude for the techniques of the style. Though underaged, Black Star has also shown proficiency in use of the Drunken Fist and has even been regarded as having the Drunken God's Fist after having only a single sip of alcohol unknowingly. As a hand-to-hand combat master, he has trained to identify weak points in the body allowing him to quickly dispatch numerous foes. Thanks to his intense physical training, BlackStar has shown the ability to hold his breath both in and out of water for a rather long time and can fight for a long time even with minor injuries.
Bukijutsu | Weapon Techniques
Aside from being extremely skilled in martial arts, he's also extremely skilled in the usage of weapons. As a weapons-user, Black☆Star is skilled enough to use a number of weapons with relative ease. As a weapon specialist, Black-Star is deadly at both close quarters combat an long range equally. His skill with projectiles is great enough for him to always hit his target 100% of the time. In close quarters, Black☆Star use of a weapon has been praised by his sensei Killer B whom he spars with on a occasional basis. His weapon techniques are supplemented by his use of scrolls and seals allowing him to always have a large assortment of weaponry at his disposal. Taking after his Sensei, Black☆Star has shown to be proficient in both the Fire Release and Lightning Release elements. Having been born with the affinity for Lightning, Black Star has shown to be able to quickly generate and manipulate lightning chakra much faster than the standard ninja and can even preform techniques of the style with only a single handseal. After his training with B, Black☆Star has become so proficient in the manipulation of the Fire Release, he can complete many of the techniques at a much faster rate.
Nara Clan & Shadow Manipulation
Black Star was raised by a prominent ninja couple from the Nara Clan. They trained him to be a shinobi from a early age and as such Black Star was a quick learner. He has become highly proficient in the clan's shadow manipulation techniques and has mastered all of the clan's techniques.
