I decided to create this discussion because I've read quite a number of posts stating that one character is bad or not as strong as another because he doesn't have this justu or that jutsu. If we look at it closely, a character like Minato, with the exception of rasengan & ftg doesn't really have any notable "super duper technique", but still he's regarded as one of the best... the only reason that comes to my mind is cos of his brain. In my opinion, a fine shinobi is highly regarded because of how well he/she uses his/her techniques not cos of how many devastating ones he/she has.

Another example is Itachi, yea he has a lot of techniques, but still Sasuke who was called a "genius" paled in comparison to Itachi when put together. & I believe he would have still found a way to defeat Kabuto, even if he didn't have the sharingan for Izanami.

Hashirama & Madara, with all the techniques used in their fight, Hashirama defeated Madara by deceiving him using a wood clone.

One of my personal favourites, Shikamaru... his fight against Temari, the flute girl (forgot her name), Hidan; these were characters that would easily take him out on a good day but he came out victorious (except against Temari ofc)

It all boils down to this: How you skilfully use your techniques in the end can determine your victory in the fight, not how much chakra or jutsus you have.

Itachi doesnt have a lot of techs compared to other hight tier shinobi, mostly genjutsu and some suiton and katon. Same for minato.

Quality over quantity. Usage over destructive capacity.

I agree with that 100%

I wish my personal favorite character Ino would have a battle like Shikamaru. I know some of you think that her techniques aren't really one-on-one fighting but I wish Kishi would give her something battle-like you know offensive and defensive cuz from what I seen she never has a battle compared to the Konoha 11. But I agree what you said.

Minato has sealing as well.
And the rest I semi-agree with.

It's not kishi's fault that you picked a support character as your fav.

(both in battle and in plot)

(off topic)
I'm also interested in why you like sakura and ino, considering what sakura did to ino as a kid, which was pretty cold.

I never said that it was Kishi's fault I just said I wish he would make her have a fight like the others. I like Sakura b/c she has a talent that is hidden inside her that she shows others what she's made of plus her starting to understand the pain that Naruto went through. As for Ino I don't know why I just feel that she is mostly my fav.

Oh, ok, well what is your opinion on this.

Ino saw sakura was being picked on and helped her out by fixing her headband and upping her self-esteme. They became best friends, then one day, sakura found out that ino liked sasuke and broke thier friendship (to persue sasuke and "beat" ino in that persuite).

Which is was started thier rivalry. Imo it's pretty cold to do that to a best friend who helped you back on your feet after you where getting bullied. Though I do understand development wise how sakura was supposed to be her own person from then on.

I know I know but they did rekindle their friendship and still care for each other. Though b4 the rivalry start have you heard what Ino said when she heard that Sakura likes Sasuke too and who do you like better?

The problem with Ino in a one vs one is that Kishi never developed her techniques. Mind transfer in theory can one shot if she takes an explosive kunai and switches out at the last minute. Add lightning style to it and I'd bet it would be epic.

OT: The best shinobi in this series (IMO) are those who do the best with what they have and have the mindset to help others which is definatly traits that people like.Naruto, Minato, and Itachi have. While they don't go solo the Narutoverse, people like Hinata, Shikamaru, and Lee also have the right mindset/usage of their talents.

So in short I pretty much agree....the best shinobi do the best they can with what they have

That's is what I'm saying I wish that he develops her techniques for a fight like the others but she still my fav. don't know why I just feel like she is.
