Okay something occurred to me, if everyone just starts fighting Madara, its basically just another everyone vs god level bad guy fight and we just had one of those.
So I think that very soon we will have a major plot twist that will cause fractures among the Alliance, I think that the fight between Naruto and Sasuke might be right around the corner, also I believe that Orochimaru will be turning on the Alliance soon.
My reasoning is that Naruto and Sasuke don't have any history with Madara, or at least not on the level they had with Obito, it just wouldn't have the emotion or drama of the battle against Obito.
The battle against Obito took 2 years to end, so how can a fight with Madara even match that.
And they have used their most powerful joint attack the Kurama Susanoo combo, any further team up between them would feel like a step down.
As for Oro, we still haven't seen his flashbacks or how he came across Madara's body, so I think he will be doing something soon.
My idea is that we will be back to separate battles again like we had earlier, Naruto will be fighting Sasuke, Hashirama and others will be fighting Madara, and others will be fighting Orochimaru. All the battles will be separate and fought over different issues.
Also the manga is supposed to end half way through next year, in the summer I believe, so that leaves us with months of manga left, and a Naruto vs Sasuke fight is going to be a long one so to keep in the time frame, it can't be too much longer before we get to it. Plus Kishi has to include an Epilogue to wrap the story up, there is not that much manga left to go, we are basically entering the final stretch.
This also would allow Kishi to deliver any final character development to the side characters, because during the battle against Obito, it was mostly Naruto holding the Alliances hands throughout the fight.
Basically the absolute last battle of the manga is very close.
