Well to be frank i don't really care who becomes Hokage but i want a good reason on why he/she is the best option for the position.
You?
I want Naruto to denounce his claim to Hokage, but only if Sasuke has legitimately repented, apologized to everyone he has wronged, and truly wants to become Hokage for the purpose of maintaining peace. Though most of Konoha would still have more trust in Naruto, they would come to trust Sasuke after learning of his contributions. Naruto's recommendation of Sasuke for the title of Hokage would be the ultimate act of selflessness on his part. If Konoha sees Naruto give up on his dream of becoming Hokage to recommend Sasuke, they will all see how confident he is in Sasuke. Konoha's confidence in Naruto would carry them through until they grew to trust Sasuke wholeheartedly.

It doesn't have to happen immediately after the war, giving time for Sasuke to regain some of Konoha's trust with the help of Naruto. Tsunade may reign for a time more as it is.

I want to see Naruto travel, kind of like Jiraiya did, minus the espionage. He would visit the other villages and their Kage, whom will welcome him as a trusted comrade. Naruto would only have to be himself and he would play a big part in maintaining peace throughout the villages, being able to sense negative intentions along the way. Naruto would simply enjoy life more this way, and Sasuke would as well. Without the chance for Sasuke to prove himself loyal and trustworthy, he would sit in the village and Konoha would just tolerate him similarly to how they treated Naruto at the beginning of the manga. Naruto isn't a desk job kind of guy, he just wanted to be acknowledged and respected by the village. Now that he has that, it would be better for him to keep active and keep the ideal of peace alive throughout the land. This way everyone wins, and there is peace.

Maybe at the end he will have to choose between his dream of being Hokage and Peace.

Naruto promised countless characters that he would be Hokage, Iruka, Tsunade, Chiyo, Gaara, Kakashi, and many others.

Naruto constantly says he never goes back on his word, it would be absurd for him not to become Hokage in the end.

Also it sends a bad message, that if you do bad things people will give you want you want.

Because essentially this ending is that Sasuke was given the title solely because if they didn't he would kill people, that's not a good ending.

Besides wouldn't a ninja village simply kill Sasuke if he threatened to resort to more violence.

And its a democracy, Naruto can't decide who the Hokage is, that is the village's decision alone, notice that Hashirama wanted Madara to be Hokage, but Hashirama was made Hokage instead.

It's true that Naruto can't decide who would become Hokage, but he could always decline the position as J-man did. He could also sense if Sasuke had negative intentions for the position. There is an alternative to Sasuke killing people if he doesn't get his way: being endured by the village because of Naruto's wishes.

I know Naruto would be going back on his word, but this is just a hypothetical ending in which peace can be truly attained if they both survive the war. If it comes between keeping his word and becoming Hokage or maintaining true peace, which is more honorable?

My reasoning:
I want Naruto to denounce his claim to Hokage, but only if Sasuke has legitimately repented, apologized to everyone he has wronged, and truly wants to become Hokage for the purpose of maintaining peace.
