The style of knights is that they basically learn how to do basic parry's , blocks and blows and also learnt how to fight on a horse.
Their form is basic and just fight in a rather primitive form of fighting with a blade

A samurai however , trains with a blade with their style of form being more complex and harder to comprehend and they do fast strokes and strike down their opponents quickly. While the skill level of the user does indeed come into play , if both the users have equal mastery over their respective styles of fighting , a smaurai would definitely win since it comes down to their fighting forms

Not all forms of fighting are equal , while an inferior form can trumph over a superior form if the user was much more skilled , if both users have equal level of mastery over their respective forms , the superior form will trumph

Well Samurai would need many hits to actually hurt the Knight and the Knight in one hit kills the Samurai, but I think the Samurai is fast enough to pull the job

You guys in a Japanese fantasy. Samurai were good warriors and fought well but, they have absolutely no solution to a Knights armor let alone shield. Fully armored Knight wins hands down. The reason Samurai themselves weren't fully armored with steel and such is because they did not have that much steel.
