A SAD REALITY BY TOBY
Spinning and tangling
The man’s fortune dangling
Thoughts of his future began strangling
With the end so near
Death came bearing a sneer
The man greeted without a tear
Then a beam of light
Shot down to smite
Death, left without a fight
the girl with auburn hair
It seamed almost unfair
Saving the lonely man lying there
Glancing up to see a hand
not something he had planned
Lifted up barely able to stand
Prone to seclusion
And utterly filled with confusion
Concerned that this could be a delusion
A smile so soft and sweet
Making him feel weak
Slowly able regain his feet
The girl looking white
It slowly became night
Walking her home he thought would be right
She invites him inside
To the place where they reside
Into her bed they both slide
With very little sleep
And thoughts extremely deep
Wondering if this was a women he could keep
Back to bed
With a scratch of his head
The lonely man thought what could be said
Awoken at dawn
By the smell of mowed lawn
He greeted the day with a very large yawn
He rolled to his side
And his eyes opened wide
As he realised that his heart had died
No longer there
He couldn’t bare
Losing sight of the auburn hair
Spinning and tangling
The man’s fortune dangling
Thoughts of his future began strangling
With the end so near
Death came bearing a sneer
The man greeted without a tear
