What we get from pages one and two? Juubi transformed to final stage and is a God Tree. Obito released the barrier to increase the space. Minato and Naruto in Bijuu mode were caught by the tree.

Shinobis with the cloak are being grabbed by the tree. The tree sucks out their chakra and drains them to zero. More number of branches approaches Killer Bee because he got lot more chakra compared to others.

People are turned to Zombies. Madara and Hashirama are shown dodging the branches. Hashirama questions about the situation while Madara answers that Juubi is taking its chakra back including Hashirama's. Then Madara's susano'o makes a contact with the tree and the chakra gets sucked.

Madara explains the story of the sage, his mother and the Juubi to Hashirama which he read from the Uchiha Tablet.

Madara says that he'll be the one to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Meanwhile, Minato escapes the branches with FTG but couldn't save Naruto.

Minato is helpless to save Naruto with his FTG. Tobirama cuts through the branches but they grow back rapidly.

Hiruzen saves Naruto and along with Minato and Tobirama escapes to where Sasuke, Juugo and other Shinobis are standing.

Naruto takes a look at the dead shinobis. Capable shinobis feel helpless to save them. Sakura seemed to be saved by Killer Bee at the last second before getting completely dried. Obito condolences everyone by saying that they've endured enough and is going to be over soon.


Now.... DID you noticed something?
In the range of the growing tree, only those who were having the Kyuubi's chakra as well as Killer Bee with Hachibi's chakra are being targeted. Minato saved himself but couldn't save Naruto. Tobirama was standing there but wasn't attacked by the branches. Madara's susano'o aura came in contact with the tree but the tree didn't targeted Madara in particular. But the tree was clearly targeting Hashirama because of his Mokuton chakra while Madara was keeping constant space between Hashirama and himself. Killer Bee was fighting against the chakra sucking tree with a chakra sucking weapon, Samehada.
Just as Madara said in page 05, Juubi's taking back what was its from the start. As well as Hashirama's chakra, the only shinobi gifted to tame the Bijuus' chakra with his Mokuton.


What I think is, that the last chapter only gave information about the origin of the concept of Chakra in "Human World" through Sage.

After the last chapter, people started making theories/doubts about/on the existence of the whole world without chakra before the Sage.
If the surfaced doubt really proves to be true then the whole build up of the story which Kishi started from chapter One is totally wasted.


I don't have any source to the Databooks of Naaruto where Kishi defined Chakra. But I think, Naruto wiki refers those Databooks. And according to them, chakra is defined as

Chakra (チャクラ, chakura) is essential to even the most basic technique; it is the moulding of the physical energy (身体エネルギー, shintai enerugī) present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy (精神エネルギー, seishin enerugī) gained from exercise and experience.

Physical + Spiritual energies = Chakra
What I wanted to say is that Kishi started directly with the jutsus by molding chakra. But he also had to define chakra first, didn't he?
He gave an acceptable explanation about chakra. And that was true how the story progressed further. for eg. Naruto was out of chakra (his own) when he was totally beaten by Gaara in Part 1, but then he used Kyuubi's chakra.
People had chakra levels depending on their physical strength and capabilities. Even in War, Naruto, Kakashi, Gai hold their grounds as long as they were having chakra but still they fought back to some more amount because of their spiritual strength (will) and physical strength. There were no one to provide them chakra at that time.

Why will Kishi ruin all this at this moment by saying all the chakra belonged to Juubi?
What was passed down from Sage to the Human world was the "concept of chakra" and not "Chakra". There is a difference in those two things.
But there were people who stole chakra from the tree directly. And also there were people who developed their own chakra after getting the knowledge about it.
Before Sage, humans were already indulged in physical fights like War with bows and arrows, spears, war animals etc. But after the knowledge of Ninjutsu and chakra, people used jutsus which were more effecting than the standard weapons they used to use previously. That's why Madara blames the "SHINOBI".

Afterwards there were many progress in the chakra manipulation things and mixing more than one chakra elements together. These are not obtained from the God Tree but instead it was the fruit of the Human Research.

In the current Shinobi World, those who wanted to become the Shinobi, learned how to mold chakra through teachings from the elder Shinobis. It is not like they were injected with something or got chakra from their parents.

Sage's case was different. He got the chakra from his mother. He didn't had to train or something to develop the chakra inside him.

From this chapter, I believed that Kishi wanted to answer our question which we might have asked ourselves, " We saw how shinobis develop chakra, but from where did they got the knowledge about this chakra thing? " and Kishi just answered it, that is, the Sage taught the other humans about the concept of chakra.
Just like how we learn to read and write. It's not like we born with those knowledge. We learn from the experience and the experienced.

First off your wrong about the chakra thing. Chakra comes from molding Physical and Spiritual Energies, this proccess can be refered to as Stamina. And thus one converts their stamina into Chakra. When one runs low on chakra, they are merely running low on Stamina. Now in cases where people are low on Chakra/Stamina, they can infact still use jutsu, but it has been shown that if one is low on Stamina and pushes too far to convert stamina that they dont have into Chakra for a jutsu, you will end up killing yourself. Nagato is the perfect example of this. So again in cases where someone is out of chakra, they can ofcourse still move around but they are just really low on Stamina, too low to convert said stamina into Chakra for jutsu. Over time their stamina recovers allowing them to use chakra again.

I agree with what you said. And that is what the naruto wiki said. I didn't add something else into it. I even gave an example of it. So where I'm wrong about the chakra? Will you please notify the part which you think wrong about the chakra?

The tree might be attacking Madara too in the sense you said. SO I accept that Madara was also targeted by the tree ONLY BECAUSE OF HASHIRAMA'S DNA

OP, you may be onto something. This story parallels many stories in religions across the world.

If we compare it to Adam and Eve in the bible, when they ate the forbidden fruit they did not create good and evil. They did not suddenly become naked. Good and Evil, Naked and Clothed already existed they simply were unaware of its existence. What they gained was knowledge that it exists, Which proved to be something very hard to overcome later on. (Lust and Temptation to do evil)

Likewise, during pre SO6P times, Chakra likely already existed in every human being. But they were simply unaware of its existence and or were unable to access it. When the SO6P's mom ate the fruit, she did not create chakra or suddenly gain it. She became aware of its existence and was able to tap into it in order to stop the fighting. Later, the Sage taught others how to access it as well, thus creating the shinobi world. Which the temptation to use it for evil rather than good also proved very difficult.
