A quick theroy why Kakashi killed Rin

Like the title says, this is only a quick little theory. Maybe Kakashi was in a situation like Nagato was in where he had to kill Yahiko because of Konan being a hostage. But this would leave me to believe that Kakashi had to kill Rin not because of a hostage situation but had to kill her for some other reason. Maybe she was a spy, who knows? Thoughts?

She was not a spy. But, I had similar idea though I compared this to Kisame's situation of killing comrades. It sounds better than stupid clone theory. I'll stick on that "titanic" until the real cause will be revealed, anyone with me?
