So what's the point of prayer then? And why worship a god that makes millions of people suffer?
Free will just means things controllable by an individual - Thoughts, words and actions.
God’s plan or pre-destination are things controllable by God - Nature, birth and death unless it was murder or suicide.
It’s a simulation similar to a game; the laws are written by programming team (God), but the player (individual) is doings out of free will. That is the only correct explanation of freewill and pre-destination. Other explanations are false, illogical and contradictory to the texts.

Of course you have a free will that's why you are able to question God and his "plans" otherwise you wouldn't be able to create this thread in the first place.
There are some matters in which we have free will whereas there are some in which we don't. God has plan for everything.

Humans tend to mock what they think its absolutely ridiculous. I respect if someone wants to believe, however I'm allowed to question why they do. And most of the time their best answer is 'god/ bible says so then it must be true'.

God gave man that kind of responsibility over what happens in Genesis 1:26:
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.."
And Genesis 6:5 shows what we did with that free will:
"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.."
God wanted so much better for us, but suffering exists because of our choices. In fact, Genesis 6:6 says God was heartbroken that ppl became that evil. So it can't be said God made us with the intent to jerk us around.
