A question to girls on NB

Well, you might be thinking it's stupid for me to ask such a question on a manga/ anime forum but here it goes anyways.
I have been liking this girl for few months. I thought she liked me so I wanted to ask her out. The same week that when I wanted to ask her out, one of my friends who I didn't expect went and asked her( about 2-3 ) days before me. About a week before, she ignored me and did not even look at me in the hallway. Now that she got a boyfriend, she started talking. To me again even more than before which I find odd because she ignored me a week before. Although I like talking to her, why does she keep mentioning her boyfriend's name every time we talk about something?
What do you think is the meaning of her behavior?
