Sasuke Never Thought of Copying Rasengan. If he did Tell my the Episode Name or manga Chapter.

If Ever Thought or Tried to copy Rasengan. There can be Following Reasons he Couldn't Learn.

1. Sasuke Wasn't Capable of Copying High Rank Techniques. I Know Primary Lotus is Powerful Technique but it isn't super technique, it's Taijutsu and he altered the move halfway to Lion's Barrage.

2. He Was not Able to Copy Techniques Which are not categorized with his Elements.

3. He Wanted to defeat Naruto Without Copying his jutsus.

And Yeah Kakashi Copied the Technique From Minato. He didn't Learn Rasengan.

i honestly think it's number 2.... as it makes sense... but at the same time, then how would kakashi be able to copy so many elements?

and what the hell with the elements.....Rasengan is not an elemental jutsu ..it's just a chakra manipulation jutsu which creates by normal chakra... cauz in elemental justsu there is specific number of shots you can do at a time for example....sasuke was able to do two shots of chidori at a time ... but in rasengan like jiraiya said you can use as many until you have the normal chakra in you body...!!!

I'll Simply put that Sasuke Didn't want to Copy Rasengan then.

Because it was never explained in Both Manga And Anime, that Sasuke tried or even thought to copy Rasengan.

For those who are willing to question me that "Primary Lotus was a Powerful Technique, How did he copy that but Rasengan?"

Primary Lotus is Copyable Technique, though Sasuke Created his own Technique Halfway and Named: Lions Barrage. But that Doesn't matters because he tried to copy and He would succeed in Performing Primary Lotus If hi wanted to.

true true, kakashi was able to copy rasengan therefore sasuke should have theoretically been able to copy it, but when you think back, his sharingan was still at an immature stage [only 2 tomoe] and maybe he aslo wouldn' t want to copy from naruto as it would make him feel degraded =/. especially at the time when one day naruto was under him and the next naruto was suddenly soooooo powerful in comparison. and maybe sasuke wanted to find his own ways to gain power =/

and yuh rasengan itself is an incomplete jutsu which doesn't have any elemental properties at first, however naruto completes the jutsu by adding his wind element to it to make rasenshuuriken[ftw] X3

and sure, sasuke wouldn't want or think about copying naruto's techniques as it would make him seem like he's weak in comparison to naruto, like not having the strength or patience to go out and learn his own tech, you know? lols lazy sasuke ><

Okay I just wanted to backtrack a minute, Kakashi did not copy Rasengan with his Sharingan.
He learnt it from his own sensei like Naruto did from Jiraiya.
Your proof?
Minato said Rasengan was incomplete as it was meant to use elemental chakra in it, so he tasked Kakashi in trying to do it.
Unfortunately Kakashi couldnt do it either so he made an alternative: Chidori. (He says this in the anime in the episode where Naruto was to Learn Elemental Chakra. The quote was something like: "If I had been able to I wouldn't have bothered to make Chidori.")
Chidori had Lightning Chakra so it was deemed complete.
However Minato pointed out it wasn't complete because moving at such high speed in a straight line it could easily be countered so it was also, like the Rasengan, Incomplete.
However just after, when Obito died, he got the Sharingan so he was able to work around it.

And he learnt Rasengan and made Chidori BEFORE he got his Sharingan.
So there is no proof whatsoever that any Sharingan user could or could not copy Rasengan.
Even if Sasuke could have, I doubt he'd do it. It would be humiliating having to use a tactic made by Naruto.

yea but his chidori had the same power if not more(with the curse mark) so there was no need to copy i weaker jutsu not to mention that sasuke looked down on naruto and copying one of his jutsus is humilating for him.

sasukes chidori is weaker at the valley naruto chose to scratch sasuke's head band instead of killing him at the last second and susuke struck him.

Sasuke sees Naruto as scum. He would never want to copy anything from him.

That's one possible reason... I have a couple of other possible reasons, but they all basically boil down to "Sasuke is a jerk" xd

Guys, Kakashi learned Rasengan from his Sensei Minato Namikaze AKA Narutos Dad.
And besides, its impossible for the Sharingan to copy Rasengan and even if it can the Sharingan has to be like Mangekyo stage.

@tjitzur Chidori doesn't come from Rasengan, it's just concentrated Chakra combined with an element.

@topic It's the same as with the tree-climbing exercise. Sharingan would be able to see the Chakra-flow within the legs to the foot, but it still takes training for the user to get the balance right. As mentioned before, Rasengan doesn't have any seals yet it's ninjutsu and ninjutsu CAN be copied by the Sharingan. However there are 2 restictions for the Sharingan: 1) The copied technique may not be a Kekkei Genkei wich is not the case here, so lets go on to nr 2) The user must be phisically able to use the technique. So what do I want so say with that? There's a big differance between knowing how a technique works and beeing able to use it. Ransengan is a technique consisting of 99% Chakracontrol. Chakracontrol must be trained. Sasuke can see how the Rasengan works, but it's too difficult for him to hold it shape, getting the rotation right, maxing the speed out, maxing the power out... He would have to train it. Simply copying won't help with this ninjutsu.

well there is also the fact that if the rasingan is indeed a blood limit ability, or something of the sort, NO sharingan or anything will be able to copy it, well accept the eyes of nago.

No I believe Kakashi, emphasizes that since Minato was his teacher.... He too learned the Rasengan....I don't think he copied it... He was taught by the Fourth...

A good episode to watch to learn how it copy ninjutsus is to watch Kakashi vs Zubazu when they make the water dragon jutsu. Kakashi simply copy his handseals and will end up with make it as perfect what the original user result.

The sharingan only copies movements and hand seals. So it cant copy the rasengan because it requires no hand seals
