A question about Madara

A have an argument with a friend regarding the Susano’o.

In his opinion, you can not activate Susano’o without having the specific visual powers (Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu).

If that was the case, then how come Madara/Obito never used any of these jutsu and yet, Madara is able to activate Susano’o (Perfect Susano’o) and Obito’s eyes are also able to activate Susano’o, and neither of them have the special abilities of Amaterasu.

That is out of context, since the only known powers at the time were Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi that is why it says you need both. In proper context it means, you need both eyes/eye powers in the state of MS to do so.

You can achieve perfect susanoo if you have eternal mangekyo sharingan. First by evolving sharingan to mangekyo sharingan then you need to transplant a siblings or close blood relatives mangekyo sharingan in yourself and then you get EMS (eternal mangekyo sharingan.)

You do not need Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu to active susano as susano isn’t even composed out of either of those but raw chakra... So I don’t see how he got that idea.
