Chapter 4
Aurora’s first Contest
Narrator: Ten minutes later Nurse Joy comes out.
Nurse Joy: Your Pokémon are all better now Aurora.
Aurora: Thank you Nurse Joy well I may get some training in also before bed.
Narrator: Aurora then headed outside and she saw Byran.
Aurora: Hey Byran
Byran: Oh hey there Aurora.
Aurora: Getting in some last minute training in as well are we.
Byran: Yeah it is something I think is a good to do before any contest.
Aurora: Is this your first contest
Byran: no this is my second.
Aurora: can I see your ribbon
Byran: Sure
Narrator: Byran then brought out his first contest Medal.
Aurora: So who you using first in tomorrow’s contest.
Byran: still not sure what about you.
Aurora: I am thinking Oshawott.
Byran: Oshawott nice choice I hope it goes well.
Aurora: Thank you, it’s a very pretty Ribbon, I cannot wait to have one of my own, well I better get started on my training before bed.
Byran: well I will see you tomorrow morning if not I will definitely see you at the contest.
Aurora: See you later Byran.
Narrator: Aurora then went to find a place to train.
Aurora: This should be good enough come on out Oshawott and Ducklett, time for some training for tomorrows, contest I will probably use you in the first round Oshawott and in the second round. Okay Oshawott lets start off with a water gun while spinning followed by an aqua jet.
Oshawott: Osha Oshawott (the sea otter Pokémon)
Aurora: Okay Ducklet your turn lets see water pulse and then follow it up with water gun
Ducklett: Duck Ducklett
(Ducklett is light-blue, duckling-like Pokémon. It has two feathery tufts on its head that connect at the bottom, forming a V-shape. It has a darker blue, feathery underside which makes it appear as if it were in mid-moult. It has yellow, webbed feet and a small tail..)

Narrator: Half an hour had then passed and Adam just happens to be walking towards the poke centre when he saw Aurora.
Adam: Hey there aurora how is the training going.
Aurora: It is going very well but I think it’s time to stop for tonight, how did yours go.
Adam: It went fairly well.
Aurora: That is good to hear I think it is time we got some sleep.
Adam: Yeah true you don’t want to be tired for the contest tomorrow.
Aurora: That is true.
Adam: Let’s head inside then
Narrator: As they were heading in side Aurora once again see’s Byran.
Aurora: Ah still going at it Byran
Byran: Yeah, are you heading to bed
Aurora: Yeah it is getting late and I don’t want to be tired for tomorrow.
Byran: I won’t be out here much longer either good night you two.
Adam: Night Byran
Aurora: Good night Byran
Narrator: They both then continued on heading inside.
Adam: Night Aurora, see you in the morning.
Aurora: Yes I will see you then good night Adam.
Narrator: The next morning, Aurora was heading down stairs and saw Byran eating breakfast. Before she went over to him she went to see Nurse Joy.
Aurora: Morning Nurse Joy can you take care of my Pokémon now and I will be entering with Ducklett in the first round and Oshawott in the second.
Nurse Joy: yes your Pokémon will be looked after and very well I will make a note of your decision.
Narrator: Aurora then headed towards Byran.
Aurora: so all set for today’s contest are we.
Byran: Yeah I sure am, I see you changed your mind from last night.
Aurora: Yeah I thought about it a bit more and thought Ducklett’s combination would be better for the performance stage.
Adam: It’s good to see you are both already to compete in today’s contest.
Aurora: Ah Adam you’re up we should have our breakfast now.
Adam: Yes I am hungry.
Aurora: Here I prepared this just before I went to bed last night let’s eat.
Byran: I see you are good at cooking as well Aurora.
Aurora: Yeah I learnt from my mum and you also look like you are not too bad at it either.
Byran: Yeah my dad showed me a thing or two about cooking a week or two before I started my Pokémon journey.
Adam: Well once we are all done we should go to the contest.
Aurora: Yeah good idea
Byran: Yeah there is only an hour til it starts.
Narrator: While they were eating nurse joy came over to them.
Nurse: Here Aurora your Pokémon are healthy and ready for the contest.
Aurora: Thanks Nurse Joy.
Adam: Okay I am finished thanks for the meal Aurora we should prob go.
Byran: Yeah I am done to
Aurora: Well I guess we should all head off to the contest then.
Narrator: Ten minutes later they arrived at the contest.
Adam: Well I am going to go find a seat I will see you both later.
Aurora and Byran: See you later Adam.
Byran: It is almost time good luck to you Aurora.
Aurora: good luck to you to.
Lilliana: Welcome to the Farina towns Pokémon contest! I am your host Lilliana, first up there will be a performance round, then there will be battle round I wish all the contestants the best of luck first up we have Matthew from Sakima Town.
Narrator: After a few contestants have had their turn it was Bryan’s turn.
Lilliana: Please welcome our next contestant Byran from Coral Bay.
Byran: Snover take the stage; use razer leaf, now use blizzard and now Snover finish it off with ice punch.
(Snover is a creature with a white upper body and brown lower body that resembles a snow-covered tree. It will be two-thirds brown if male and two-thirds white if female.)
Narrator: Then it finally came to Aurora’s turn.
Lilliana: Please welcome our next contestant Aurora from Burnie Town.
Aurora: Ducklett take the stage
Narrator: Out of its poke ball came Ducklett.
Aurora: Ducklett do water pulse then surround it with water gun while spinning now ice beam followed by another water pulse to smash the ice.
Lilliana: What a graceful way to show off Ducklett’s moves and now let’s introduce our next contestant, Ivan from Evergreen town.
Byran: Nice performance out there Aurora
Aurora: Thanks Byran I enjoyed yours to Snover looked great out there.
Byran: Thanks Aurora.
Lilliana: Well that concludes are first round thanks to all the contestants who entered, now the judges will decide who is going on to the next round.
Narrator: While the judges where deciding on who the top eight coordinator’s that would be going on to the second round Adam went to see Byran and Aurora.
Adam: Awesome job you two
Aurora: Thanks Adam
Byran: Thanks Adam
Narrator: Ten mins or so later
Lilliana: Thanks for your patience we will now put up on the screen the eight coordinator’s who will be moving on to the second round.
Narrator: Aurora, Byran and Adam looked in the direction of the screen as one after the other they showed the pictures of the top eight that had made it to the next round.
Adam: Congratulations on making you two.
Aurora & Byran: Thanks Adam
Lilliana: these top eight have made it they will now be randomly shuffled to see who will versus who in the battle round.
Aurora: I guess I will see you in the final match
Byran: I will be there
Adam: Good luck you two, any way I better head back to my seat.
Byran: Thanks Adam
Aurora: Thanks Adam, see you after it’s all over.
Lilliana: Okay now we shall start the first match of the second round on my left is Mathew on my right is Ivan there is five mins on the clock begin.
