A Poem No. 1

At dawn
when the morning mist sprinkled the tintless pearls
over the purple lilac and amber daffodils,
I saw a person in the dreams.

At noon
when the warm sun was kissing violets and daisies
with tenderness of a kind and gentle lover,
I recalled a pleasant friendship.

At twilight
when the evening lights diffused flame colours
over the endless sky and steep, grey cliffs,
I thought of you, my new friend.

Hundreds of miles between us,
and yet we share the same sky;
Enormous distance between us,
and yet we breathe the same air,
my dear new friend!

At midnight
when the brisk breeze was dancing with leaves
with cheerful charm of sweet, young lady,
I imagined you, my dear new friend.

An ocean and countries between us,
and yet we listen to the same sounds;
Numerous trees and flowers between us,
and yet we watch the same shows,
my dear new friend!

When I look at lilac and daffodils
I can see you,
When I enjoy warmth of a sun
I can laugh with you,
When I watch sunset,
I can talk to you,
And when I feel the wind
I can hear you.

Are you aware, my dear new friend
that in those little things that we share
lies greatest power of our newborn bond?
For my dear new friend at NB!
