When Hiruzen fought Oro and explained the fourth hokage's jutsu, I always thought being stuck in that reaper death seal technique might be a horrible death. I always imagined their spirits would never be free. As much as Hiruzen died with a smile on his face, I felt sorry when thinking he was stuck somewhere. Same when Minato and Kushina died.
We've all seen how happy the edos were when they left in peace. Itachi, Sasori or Sai's brother surely looked like they wished for nothing more than fully dissolving. Anyway don't you also think Kishi brought back the hokage also to give them freedom once and for all?
