I don't think the manga is really coming to a close. Somehow, I suspect that this is only the end of Shippuden. There's so much that hasn't been covered. Konohamaru still hasn't made an appearance in the manga lately. Also, Naruto vs Sasuke will happen. I doubt it will happen right after a war. Especially since Sasuke now knows the key to powering his Sharingan up. He'll have to form the bond again and then break it. Then the bond probably has to be broken on the other end, too. Madara did awaken rinnegan after Hashirama finally severed the bond on his end. Sasuke will undo the edo tensei once he's done using the Kages. He might even train with edo Madara to learn the deepest secrets of the sharingan. Think about it. So many possibilities...

Madara severing his bond with Hashirama awakened a sharingan power-up! What!? sharingans needs bonds to be severed to power-up? What!? Madara trains Sasuke!? What!? You need a time-skip to establish Naruto vs. Sasuke when plenty of reasons already exist!? What!?
