Everyday I wake,
In the dawning hour;
Obliged to extinguish
This burning fire.
The one that's set ablaze,
Inside my head.
And the crackle of it
Could raise the dead.
It roars for the one,
For whom I speak;
And my heart, it weeps
When I am weak.
But it gives me strength,
For another task;
For a new leaf,
That turned over at last.
