Thats right the return of my what if seris this time around i will be doing a what if of if sauske and naruto had traded roles like naruto says they could have making this for fun so if its popular or not i'll continue anyway inorder to change things i'll be bending crapxd this takes palce about a year before the clan was killed ( of course in mine i'll be bending things so they don't get killed xd)
Chapter 1 Change of fate
We see kid naruto walking as he notices the cold stares of the people around him when suddenly he walks into a drunken villager.
villager: its that kid!
naruto: (why do they always call me that)
villager: stop looking at me you freak! *throws bottle at Naruto's head*
naruto: why...
he see's himself in the kyuubis cage.
naruto: where am...
kyuubi: little boy do you want them to stop? do you wish for your pain to end?
naruto: who are you?
kyuubi: consider me your friend i can help you if you give in to me.
naruto: your the ninetails that the fourth hokage sealed! that must mean i'm the one he sealed it in.
kyuubi: ah yes him, he sealed me in you because he doesn't care about you he knew your life was worthless and knew you'd be the perfect pawn, everyone else knows this aswelll its why they treat you that way.
naruto crying
kyuubi: give in to my power and they'll never be able to call you those names again.
naruto:...
on the outside of his mind. he stands up his eyes blood ed with the kyuubis pupils the drunken man see's this and runs away all the people back away and avert eye contact. the third hokage was watchign though teh crystal ball.
third: this isn't good the kyuubi seems to have taken narutos favor i better assgin a watch to him. someone from the uchiha clan with great power.
an anbu walks in.
???: you wanted to talk to me about my clan lord third?
third: yes itachi forget it i have a differnt mission for you of more importance i'd rather you not get involved with the uchiha at the moment.
itachi: what is it lord third?
third: the jinchuriki i worry for him i wish for you to take him under your watch and keep him from losing control.
itachi: understood.
the next day.
naruto is sitting on his bed looking up at the ceiling when the thrid hokage walks into his room. naruto sits up
third hokage: i have found a new living arrgement for you naruto you will go life with the uchiha clan for awhile and also i have decided to let you enter the ninja acdemey.
naruto: why?
third: you might feel less lonely there... come with me.
the two arrive at sauske and itachis house itachi is talking to his parents.
Itachi: because of this new mission i won't be able to attend clan meetings sorry to disappoint you but i must act as his guide for now, here comes the child now.
the third walks up to itachis parents naruto behind the third.
third: watch over this child as if he was your own mikto you may know his mother kushina.
naruto: !!!
mikoto: yes last time i saw her was that night 6 years ago i heard she had died alongside the fourth.
third: well i want this child watched over and cared for itachi will take care of it so you may go on with your normal activities i trust you with him, good day.
third leaves.
mikoto: see the village still trusts us.
fuguaku: not infront of itachi no need for him to get involved now, itachi just focus on the mission assigned to you i'll ask shisui to take care of the other mission.
Itachi: understood. *bends down* whats your name?
naruto: naruto.
itachi: you seem about my little brothers age maybe you two will get along come with me.
naruto:...
naruto walks behind itachi when the ninetails contacts naruto once more
kyuubi: don't trust the uchiha they have the power to suppress my chakra if their eyes turn red avoid their gaze they seek to keep you away from me.
naruto: ( got it your the only one i trust his eyes they are the same as everyone elses he see's me as his mission assgined by the third)
kyuubi: you catch on fast brat they want to keep you in check they don't trust you with my power
naruto walks into the room where sauske is sauske comes running up to itachi who pokes him in the head then notices naruto behind itachi.
sauske: itachi nii san whos the kid behind you?
itachi: this is naruto he's gonna be here for awhile.
sauske: i'm sauske itachis younger brother. ( his eyes are cold for some reason)
naruto: i'm naruto.
naruto walks past sauske and sits on the porch looking out at the sky.
itachi: he's had a rough life no parents he has no idea what parental love is.
sauske:...
itachi: image who you'd feel if you never had parents or a family that's how he feels.
sauske: well we're his family now right nii san!
itachi: if you want to thing that way sure it's late get some sleep tomorow i'll teach you and naruto shuriken jutsu.
sauske: yay!
the next mourning.
itachi gets his little scene with hitting all the targets.
naruto: awesome
sauske: of course it is nii san is amazing.
itachi: ( i don't have anything to attend so i can actually help today ) ok sauske your turn.
sauske: right nii san!
sauske only manages to hit on target.
itachi: you didn't deflect the kunai correctly you must picture your targets and the aim of your shuriken so that they will deflect and hit their intended target at the right time. naruto your turn.
A year passes as the two are taught by itachi, itachi also must attend all of Naruto's classes while there he also serves as a tutor to help Naruto and sauske with their training even being able to teach sauske fire release himself but naruto didn't have fire so he couldn't but was able to teach Naruto bunshins. but narutos bond with the nine tails only grew stronger the nine tails convinced naruto the brothers didn't care for him and thought of him and the nine tails as beasts naruto only listened to the nine tails thinking of itachi as a baby sitter nothing else. Then on the fateful night that could have been the uchiha clan massacre nothing happened having regained trust in the village from their watching the jinchuriki and no using him for evil they had their land restored and blissfully unaware itachi sauske and naruto grew up never knowing of the clans almost dismise. The day of the final exam was upon naruto and he passed with flying colors alongside sauske. itachi was assgined to remain narutos sensei and sauske sakura and anruto were under him as a squad.
