A mystery in Naruto Series

It's about jiraiya's fate.

As you know that Nagato couldn't revive Jiraiya with his Gedou art of Rinne-Rebirth. (It's been explained many times in other threads).

here are my predictions:

A: (more obvious) as we all saw Jiraiya sank under the sea. And then Kabuto confirmed it. He said that he couldn't revive Lord Jiraiya because his body sank DEEP under the ocean. [conclusion] if he was right then, after sometime his body will float on the surface ONLY IF HE WAS DEAD.

Three reasons if it doesn't float:

1: Fishes ate it (Don't forget the hungry fishes they also live in the ocean)

2: His body got stuck by something and it couldn't reach the surface.

3: He was gonna die but because of his sheer willpower he was able to gather some power/chakra and performed Kuchiyose no jutsu (summoning jutsu) and with the help of a toad he went to Mt. Myo.

now if he is dead and his body some how floats afterwards, then it's more likely that either Lord ORO or Kabuto will track it down and will perform Edo-Tensei on him (or if ORO finds it then surprisingly he will return it to the Hidden leaf beacause he deserves a proper funeral).
If that is gonna be the case then we'll see him soon.

and if the second reason is the case then we may never see him again. :'(

B: Now, let's follow the third reason:

Lord Jiraiya was able to summon a frog and was directly teleported/reverse summoned/taken to Mt. Myo and was kept and treated there secretly. (may be by the great toad of Mt. Myo.)

If this is the case then one question comes to mind that 'why would Lord Fukasaku keep it secret from Naruto or Lady Tsunade?' The answer is: "Because Jiraiya wanted so." (may be he wants to help everybody from behind the scenes and take the enemies by surprise.)
(Itachi was also helping the leaf from behind the scenes.)
So, I believe that we will see him sooner or later, as an edo-tenei or alive.

I also consider his death as a mystery that will remain a mystery forever or will be revealed sooner or later.

Jiriya had a wonderful story was a great character and his character only improve when he died. Its okay let him be dead.

i Agree. but what if he comes back? No one can 100% guarantee that he won't come back. I'm just talking about the probabilities. I'm not sure about anything either.

it's all plot, kishi chose this to be his death ignoring the fact that he can be revived (should have been revived looking at how naruto convinced nagato to change), simply to make the story better (kill the teacher, the student grows) and i kind of agree on that.
don't put to much thought to it, the manga is not always accurate/not the first time something obvious like this happens, enjoy your time.

What mystery??? He's dead. He got killed by Pain. He's body went down the ocean.
