Unless you can actually show ninja in the general area when they were heading off to fight Momoshiki who could also have replicated a jutsu turning invisible, I highly doubt that any 'other Jonin' level ninja could've been useful.

In fact, the story shows that the plot was lucky for Boruto being there otherwise the Kage's would've gotten hurt.

Well I don't disagree, but I can't help but state that with Naruto getting worked on last minute by Momoshiki (and his black rods) - Boruto stepped up with Sasuke, carrying the Father/Son Rasengan, helped take down the Rinnegan, and was the one who turned the giant mass of chakra so that Momoshiki would be sent upwards to die.

He definitely did more shit than the Kage's though.

BOLD: Never happened in the manga, not one scan shows that. Instead it was Sasuke/Kage and Boruto saved Naruto while Boruto literally sit idly by and do nothing until everyone was screwed when momo pulled a shadow possession technique. The only main role sasuke plays in is Team combo with Naruto/Boruto. Toward the end of the fight, sasuke created a diversion so that Boruto can finish the rest.
