You're comparing her personal struggle with her success/wealth. You're obviously looking at this at the wrong angle. So because she's rich she's not suffering, right? How do you know she's making money from all these appearances? Is this an act to you? Caitlyn and "that gay football player" can do what others in their situation couldn't before since they're famous, they can bring more attention to it to people affected like they are.
Kind of funny... A lot of those people don't like the attention that are being shine on them now due to them famous people. A lot of them are already okay with being gay or transexual. But now that the media is constantly on them, They starting to feel uneasy or pointed out now because these famous people want society to give them "special attention" or "special respect".
I used to live Rochester and NYC. A lot of gay people there. Nobody really give a shit about them. As long there is mutual respect, everybody is okay with each other. But nowadays, It starting to be less "mutual respect" and more "I gotta respect him/her better so she/him don't feel left out"
You can say they're bringing more attention to to the people that affected like they are, but really they're just pouring gasoline on their people and waiting for somebody light them up for the worse.
