And there stood, inside a small shack perplexed by the 'enormity' of life and the 'mediocrity' of it's wielders. What was I doing? Was I waiting for something to happen? A grand gesture? Or an unexpected moment of serenity? The chicken was getting cold and I still had not gotten bread. This simple event was not as simple and random as it appeared. No, it was much more than that, it was symbolic! Is life nothing but a mere chicken? The older it gets the harder the colder it becomes. Thats why we use KFC fried chicken delivery. But we rely heavily on others, we do not use our own bread to eat, we wait for others to deliver a different type of chicken to us and we settle. Yes, we settle with that caked up chicken, with the illusion that bread is not needed...

Jio in sig

I sit at a table on a balcony two stories up, simply watching civilians stroll by while i drink my tea. My nekura cloak shrouded my body entirely, bar my hair which seemed to stick out. A waiter came through for the second time since I've been here, shaking nervously as he places another pot of tea next to me. It seemed my name of being a nekura and 7sm had spread throughout even these lands, bringing fear to most. Heh. I waved the man off but as he walked away in a rush i uttered an order to him.

Bring me some freshly baked bread, please.

The waiter came, interrupting my ever so extravagant and complicated thought process, snapping me out of my rambling trance state. What an ass. I locked eyes with him, I could see fear in them, but I was not the cause. I asked, like any rude intrusive individual would.

What seems to be the problem? You are barely holding yourself together. Boss gonna let it go? I mean, let you go?

At first he was taken aback by the question, perhaps even appalled, but he quickly replied.

If only that were the case, sir. There is a man upstairs, a dangerous man, Ōtsutsuki Jio.

From the way he said the man's name one would expect that I would know the man. That was not the case. His name was not associated, to my knowledge at least, to any of the great clans or family dynasties. That would add, as I will learn, a duality to my encounter with him. My response to the waiter was one of upmost honesty.

The name doesn't ring a bell. There are two things that can strike a fear in a man's heart; his ex's lawyer and a ninja kid in search of his father. Is he one of them?

The waiter was, once again, taken aback by my demeanour. After regaining composure the waiter ignored my question and asked if I needed anything, it was clear that he did not wish to answer my question. So, I simply signalled him off with a head movement. Just as the waiter was about to reach the threshold from which I could no longer communicate without raising my voice I talked.

Send my regards to this Jio individual. Vayne Aurelius is the name.

I thought to myself that the waiter would probably piss himself before approaching the man, but it was worth a shot. Maybe the message would get across, there was no harm in meeting someone who struck in the heart of others. Right?

I continued watching the people pass as i drank my tea, though i now had pourn some sake from my flask into the tea to give it some personality. As i drank i heard the trembling steps of the waiter coming back, but i hadn't ordered him to. What was really happening?

What the hell is it? I can hear your trembling from the kitchen! - Shouted the words before the man could announce his presence.

"Sir, a man sends his regards. He goes by the name of Vayne Aurelius."

This means nothing to me. Move along..

"But, sir. He spoke of a young boy and his father, hinting strongly towards you..."

With that i slammed my cup on to the table, some of the liquor mixed tea spilling over on to the table's surface. I'd casually and silently make my way into the lower section of the place and the moment i make it down there i flex my chakra. The room became heavy to the people within it as i spoke in a nonchalant tone.

Vayne Aurelius????

The waiter had apparently managed to deliver the message. Impressive. The indiiudal that said my name must have been the Jio dude. Who else could it have been? It's not like I had a fan base or anything. Furthermore, the release of chakra captured my attention. I looked in the direction of the man and raised my hand.

Present.

My reply was similar to that of a student in class. Perhpas it was a sign that I was going to get schooled. Or, that I, unlike the others present in the room, was not heavily affected by the chakra release. I kicked out the chair across me, an invite for the man to sit across me.
