I don't think Amaterasu would be a solution. I'm pretty sure the soul is essentially the thing that needs to be dealt with in order for an Edo to be stopped. The Amaterasu would probably just burn the body away, but it would just regenerate after it burnt out. If what your saying was true, wouldn't the wounds on Nagato still be there instead of being able to regenerate? The only thing I think it would do would be to buy time to get someone else to seal the Edo.

replacing your body with something that isnt you. the very second jutsu ever introduced in the series after kage bunshin. mostly its just switching places with a log

Maybe we're getting the wrong idea because your definition of nullify seems to be different then the actual definition. Not sure where you got "for a while" from. You were making it out to be that Amaterasu would be able to STOP Edo. I don't think anyone here has the wrong idea.

Has it been proven to destroy faster than edo tensi heals? Maybe we should not consider Amaterasu part of someone's power because its strong.

we've only seen it once on nagato so we may never know but i do think amaterasu has what it takes to nullify edo tensei
