nah i dont think so, i mean his stronger punch is so fast that the sand cant keep up with it, or at least hardly keeping up with it, plus its so strong it smashed a susanoo (still it was imperfect but it was smashed :O) so i dont know which is better sand or an imperfect? and how fast can the sand gets. and i think raiton will get through it anyways because its basicly a duton jutsu?

A is stronger. As Kankuro said, Gaara's weakness is himself. A is the 2nd fastest that is alive in narutoverse and could just keep beating the life out of Gaara's sand sheild. His punnch was noted to be like 1million pounds. For god's sake he can go super saiyan in NARUTO. Just like Sasuke's Amatersu, Gaara's sand wont catch up to him. And his lariot was the best until bee beat him. Lightning can penetrate sand. idk about gold though
