Well guys, remember the fight between Sasuke and Itachi? Sasuke used Kirin and Itachi used Susano'o to defend himself. Even though he had used it in time and lived, the Susano'o had temporarily disappeared and Itachi had to re-use it. So if the Susano'o couldn't even stay active for the entirety of Kirin, then there is NO WAY it could block a Tailed Beast Bomb.

As we all know, The Yata Mirror was equipped to Itachi's Susanoo, and is considered one of the three sacred treasures. It is said to be endowed with all nature transformations and changes its own characteristics depending on those of the attack it receives, making the attack entirely ineffective. Zetsu even claimed that this combined with the Sword of Totsuka, made Itachi's Susano'o invincible.

So what does that mean? Yata Mirror was only endowed with Katon, Futon, Suiton, Doton, and Raiton.
Now where does it state that it's endowed with chakra.

Because it didn't actually do that? At least it wasn't that what happened with Orochimaru's snakes or Sasuke's Kirin. And, in the words of Itachi himself, every technique has a weakness.
