A fourth dojutsu

I think there may have been a fourth dojutsu that was lost in time.

Allow me to explain: During Tobi's story of the Curse of Hate that the Uchiha inherit, we saw a strange pair of eyes. Where did we see these eyes? On the older son. I think these eyes were a fourth dojutsu. As we know, Sharing ascends to Rinnegan. I think this fourth dojutsu was an in-between level. I think both the Sage and his older son had it, however, when the Sage became the Jink of the Juubi, his eyes were mutated into Rinnegan, completing his eye "cycle". That would leave the older son as the only person left with this fourth dojutsu. Then, as he had offspring, the fourth dojutsu became diluted. As time went on, it would get even more diluted until. I think the people who had a diluted version of this fourth dojutsu split apart. One part would later become the Hyuga and their diluted fourth dojutsu became the Byakugan, the others became Uchiha and had Sharingan. Then when Senju and Uchiha founded the Leaf, they let those who would later become the Hyuga stay there since they were like really distant cousins

I think it was just to represent the fact he inherited the sage's eyes. The younger son has a picture of flames or energy around him; I don't take that literally, I just feel that represents the idea he inherited the Sage's body. I don't know, you may be right though.

it was proposed in another thread (not on NB)that this eye became the Uzumaki because of the spiral design. It was suggested that the reason they had such a long life was because the outer pains path controls life and death and the sage was great at sealing (jinkuri and sealing the body of the 10 tails) that the reason that they no longer had the eye is because of use of Ignazi. Idk if I believe this story but if there was another dojitsu that would be a great story. The lost eye of the Uzumaki

Has anyone noticed the sage of six paths older son had swirls in his eyes(maybe true power of the renningen) :shrug: .. not quite like the renningen we see now currently in the show...

No. Even if my theory is right, I doubt someone with Byakugan is gonna get Rinnegan ever

i agree but it may turn into the swiling eye of the older son witch as you said may or not be differnt from the rinnegan

also i think it may have been mistake and it was supposed to be the rinnegan like when they shown nagatos eyes in the manga (cant remember witch one) he had the sharingan tomes within his rinnegan

I dont know if i would like another dojutsu but if there was, I would want it to be a more powerful one that is exclusive to the juubi jinchuuriki so like SO6P and maybe eventually Naruto, not a less-powerful in between stage

Nice theory. But I think no. I think the eye pattern of elder son is rinnegan though its shown as spiral pattern rather than concentric.
