A Few General Questions I Have About Creating My Bio

First off let me apologize to the Jonin, Kage, and Sannin who have probably answered these questions a billion times. There is a lot of info to absorb concerning the rules and restrictions and before I create my personal bio I just want to make sure I set myself on the proper path of training.

I intend to create a custom bio of a Samurai and not a shinobi. I already know from reading the rules that a samurai does not have the ability to use elements, correct? So here are a few of my questions:

1) I intend to make my samurai at the same level as my post rank (genin) where can i go to learn Taijutsu and Kenjutsu?

2) I have a special custom sword I created specifically for my Samurai and would like to use this in my training as it's special powers are similar to gaara's sand( it's alive and sometimes moves of it's own accord to protect the wielder) is this allowed?

3) I would also like to train in the same Tech Mifune uses to seal handsigns before they are weaved by other Shinobi. What sort of training do I need and who do I learn from? Is this a tech I can start training in as a Genin or do I have to wait until I am at a higher level?

4) can a samurai learn the 8 inner gates tech or is this strictly a shinobi ability?

1.You need to become a chunin before you can start training in taijutsu.
(though i'm not too sure if samurais can use taijutsu)
There is no particular rule for Kenjutsu.
So I guess you can learn it anytime.

2.Before you can use your custom sword, you need to get it approved in the custom jutsu submission thread.


3. Find a Sensei teaching samurai tech.

Seems like no other Rp'rs are viewing this thread so I'll answer your questions I guess. o_o

1. You can create a Samurai, and to learn Taijutsu and Kenjutsu you specifically need a Sensei (members with orange names), Senseis are usually pretty busy so it might take you a while to get training. Also it's best that you get a few more ranks before asking for training. Since as it stands you can only learn like E rank techniques. So try and get to at least Jounin, (1080 posts) before starting training. Another thing is that you can have two Bio's at a time. So you might want to create both a Samurai and a Shinobi, since it's pretty hard for a average Samurai to be on the same standings as a Ninja within this RP.

2. Anything custom has to be submitted into one of the various Custom Technique threads, where a mod will look over the jutsu and see if it's approvable to be allowed into the RP system. A custom Weapon should be submitted into the Custom Jutsu thread in particular.

3. Dunno about Samurai's so I can't answer that. >_<

4. I'm pretty sure they can, though EIG is pretty rare in this RP. There's only a few people who know it, and they're each only allowed to teach one person. So as you can imagine learning EIG is something that few people get the opportunity to do. That isn't to say that it's impossible, if you really strive for it and show good use of Taijutsu throughout the RP, you might eventually be recognized by one of the very few EIG masters.

Okay thank you, this helps alot actually. I will take your advice and create 2 bios as suggested (one shinobi, one Samurai) I have taken my time in creating my custom sword so I will submit it to the custom jutsu section to see if it's approved. I'm an artist so I will need to draw it out, color it in and list it's capabilities before I submit it.

Aren't custom jutsus just allowed by reaching Kage rank? I do not know exactly but I thought so...

Scaze pretty much answered everything but as for the 'Can Samurais learn EIG' question that is a no go. I asked this same question to Caliburn a few weeks ago and he told me Samurais cannot learn EIG.

One more thing in order to learn kenjutsu techs you need to be of sannin rank 4,300 post i believe

also at your rank you can learn up to d or c rank techs unsure
but yeah ask around if you need more help
